We all know Cornwall is the most macho place in the world, but even Corwall must have atleast one gay!
theres plenty of gay people but no gay bar in cornwall.
One would think that ther is a secret club somewhere.
more than likely, but nothing official.the only openly gay one closed 2 year ago.Cornwall is laid back enough to not pay much attention to such things,it's a bit like Goa in respects to everyone just gets on with things without prejudice.its very chilled here,if you know what i mean?
p,s dreadzone are gonna carry on and are doing festivals this year and the music on their website seems to be up and running again
I went to this neat little jazz club once a long time ago. It was smoky and cozy and just plain sexy. A year or two later, I went in with another date - not realizing/caring that the ownership had changed... except that instead of jazz, wild thumping music was playing.
We ordered drinks and asked the bartender about the jazz bands that used to play there. He informed us it was no longer a jazz club but a gay bar. Don't ask me how we didn't notice. I guess we had eyes only for each other. LOL.
Well, it was Valentine's day, we really didn't care where we were - as long as nobody else cared. We were happy with each other, our drinks... and the view. Until the bartender poured our second drink and gave us a little advise. "You can stay if you want," he said, "but the Valentine raffle is in a few minutes and the prize is under your seat."
"Under MY seat?" I said, both excited and nervous.
"Yeah, but I don't think it's something you'd want."
It took every ounce of energy I had to resist peeking at the prize.
With a laugh and a wink, he lit my cigarette, then he thanked us for the tip and wished us an exciting evening somewhere else.
Damn but it would have been cool to stay and watch...

It's all in the material that's used to build it. Some people say the owners choose for the pub (or bar) to be homosexual, but it's not a choice. It's all pre-determined in the material construction.
