Hello, please forgive my complete computer illiteracy, but how in the world do you use a bittorrent?
I just got the program last night, and haven't the slightest clue how to use it. I've read the FAQ's and what not, but still don't know what i'm doing.
Anyone shed light on the situation?
I recommend uTorrent (link - it's small, but very functional, no installation required. A few people had some problems with torrent downloading and uTorrent solved them.
I think your question is once you have Bittorrent (utorrent, preferably, or some other one) how do you download to get the music?
1. Create a folder with the name of the concert you want to download.
2. Download the torrent and save it on your hard disk in the folder you just created.
3. Open utorrent and click on the green plus sign in the upper left hand corner "Add torrent". Select the torrent you just downloaded.
You will see a list of the tracks. Click on the three little dots in the upper right hand corner of the window and select the file you just made where you want to download to. Click OK. Click OK to close window.
4. In the Utorrent window you should see your concert appear and start to download (assuming there are seeders). In the Files tab you can see which tracks are completed, and in the Client tab you can see who else is uploading or downloading, and how much they have completed.
That's about it! Good download and enjoy!
I think it´s better for you if you read the official page of the program you´re using. THey allways provide great information.
Normally they have great forums. I know that in the begining you need to have a little patience to get use to that language, but after 2 or 3 days you´ll get the idea.
Take care
Thanks for the help. I think I've got a hang on it now...
But its saying it could take 11 days for one show to download (!). Would I be able to log off the internet and continue retrieving the file next time I got on? Because I'm not and cannot leave the computer and internet on for 11 days straight.
Again, thank you for putting up with my infinite computer ignorance.
