Well, last night, I stayed up all night. Total of 28 hours. And unless you're Chuck Noris (then you'll sleep instead of waiting), you've gone some extended period without sleep. What's your record? And yes...I know mine's pathetic. :P |

Red, the longest you've ever stayed awake is the longest I've slept straight. 28 hours of pure sleep. I don't know the longest I've been awake - a few days, at least, being a college student. I've learned my lesson and try to keep it consistent now, though. |

I hate staying awake at night, especially when there's no alcohol involved. I Don't think I've ever been awake for more than 30 hours.... |

24 hours, maybe a bit more. Camping outside our school, freakin' cold, rainy etc. Almost a hundred people participated. First we had a prom and after that the idea was to camp outside our school. As an exam-joke, which is very popular in The Netherlands. Beer for breakfast, barfing people etc. Oh yes, a day I will never forget. |

I stayed awake for 2 and a half days. It was New Years Eve and a Red Dwarf marathon was on...and I WATCHED THEM ALL! So you could say 'a year'..wait, no you couldn't. Carry on. Oh yes, I just...sort of didn't go back to sleep. I paid for it later though. My heart exploded. |

I've only stayed up 1 whole night. And my mom had to stay up with me to make sure I wouldn't go to sleep! ON PURPOSE! EKGs are fun. |

Crap! I've fallen asleep in school before! I really don't like sleeping in the summer, either. |

Longest time awake : Probably around 48 hours. I'm not really sure. I think I was starting to see things be all wiggly by the time I went to sleep. Longest time asleep : No clue. Probably slept a lot as a baby. I don't really know. |

KillerQueen840 23.01.2007 06:47 |
Longest time asleep: probably 17 or 18 hours. I'd go longer but my parents thought I was dead and woke me up. :-/ Now I'm not allowed to sleep past 11:30 in the morning which really sucks. It was the final straw one day of summer vacation when I slept 'til supper time, and my parents yelled at me. It was pretty ridiculous. |

A day and a half. It was after going camping. I went out fishing with my dad and before the boat got on to the ramp I was asleep. Heh, good times. Too bad a shark bit his legs off. |
The Mir@cle 24.01.2007 04:50 |
When I went on Winter Sports, we traveled by train... so I missed one night of sleep (I couldn't sleep in the train). So I think I didn't sleep for one and an half day. My longest time asleep? 15 hours is my max, really. |

I am doing this now. I am actually phisically exhausted and had a moment this morning that I thought I would fall into a coma, but frankly darling I don't give a damn. I'll have time enough to sleep after I turn 100. Haven't had a good night sleep (more than 5/48 h) since... hm... summer of 2006 I think. :-) |

okay i'll not joke this time... about 1989, was on one of those staff eladership courses...we spent all of day planning the final trek, then at come bedtime everyone was wired..finally just getting tired when the woke up those of us leading our groups that we had to replan the route as snow had fallen over high ground (so we spent three hrs sorting a new route) just in time for breakfast. then half of us hiked 50km that day while the others setup came) got to camp ate, went to pub, came back and couldn't sleep as it was so cold...got up at 6am and slept when got home after last day so approx 60hrs with a hike in between |

I once decided to see how long I could go without sleep one time over summer vacation out of sheer boredom, and I literally made it to 78 hours, but I collapsed and slept for 15 hours right afterwards. |

Roughly an entire week when I had my never-ending anxiety & panic attacks years ago. It wasn't pleasant. Losing touch with reality and hypersensitivity to everything, especially sound. My mom had to be hospitalized after she went a few days without sleep due to taking prednisone (a steroid). She wigged out much worse than me, saying she thought she was dead and stuff. I don't advise you young folk to try and stay up just to see if you can. Sleep is essential for your health. Ironic since young doctors are forced to stay awake for long periods of time. That practice really should end. It's not safe for their patients. |
