Hank Marvin and Brian May - We Are The Champions. Is there any way I can buy it? Does anyone know what album it's on or anything? Thanks |
GT 17.01.2007 08:53 |
Yes this was a officially released single here in the UK in 1992. It was Hank Marvin featuring Brian May on Guitar and was also featured on Hanks album INTO THE LIGHT. It reached number 66 in the singles chart. As you probably know Brian also played guitar and arranged the track FBI on Hank's TWANG album. |
_Bijou_ 17.01.2007 08:57 |
Thanks for the info. How could it only reach 66? I think it sounds great. |
GT 17.01.2007 09:01 |
The usual reason as with so many records...it wasn't played on the radio. No DJ or TV show is going to include someone like Hank as he wasn't 'current' at the time, especially as this was an instrumental. As I recall the proceeds went to the Terrence Higgins Trust? |
_Bijou_ 17.01.2007 09:21 |
Well I think it's great anyway. |

I don't see why he should refer to google, when you can (hopefully) get a fan's response on here. After all that is why people come here. |

Maybe because this place is being flooded with questions that can easily be Googled or, in this case, eBayed, which makes the questions that CAN'T be fall into shadow, be left unanswered and be doomed to obscurity? The collective IQ of QZ's population is dropping by the minute due to the likes of these questions. A long time ago, people could discuss sensible issues here, and all gained from it. Crap remained in the personal section, along with most of its producers. |

It's all too easy to rile people up on this site when it comes to: *posting in the wrong forum *bad/improper English (everyone up here is a freakin' Enlgish major) *asking 'stupid' questions that some people feel should be googled (which is up to the interpretation of any idiot up here) --> this is one of the points of the site - TO DISCUSS QUEEN RELATED STUFF. So we need a new policy up here then? Is that it? Everytime you want to ask a question, you most first google it. Not use Yahoo or Ask.com search engines. It 'MUST' be googled. If after that, you still aren't satisfied, before you go and enrage the Queen Freaks up here on Queenzone.com, please consult the oracle at Delphi. If you are nowhere near Greece, then I say call your president or prime minister. If he or she doesn't know the answer, then use queenzone as your last resort.
