The ones I know of:
Aiwa- Another One Bites The Dust
Pepsi- I want it all
Coke- I want to break free
Are there any others? and do you guys feel that when bands authorize the use of their songs in commercials that they are "selling out?" I'm ok with it..
You all forgot about We Are The Champions for the Viagra commercial. When I first saw that commercial, it REALLY pissed me off. Who was in charge of allowing that decision? Brian? Mary Austin? I don't know who is in charge of Freddie's music.

Here in Holland, It's a beautiful day is used for a seal rescue-center commercial.
Wasn't this a promo on National Geographic?
No, it was for "Pieterburen", a place for sick/wounded/found seals.
At least, here in Holland.
Was that a white, fluffy baby seal? :)

Here you can find and watch that commercial.
fill in "Pieterburen" and press "Zoeken" in the green/white area then you'll get a small picture
Yey!!! That's the one used by National Geographic with 'It's A Beautiful Day' included... I thought it was a baby seal, but seeing the picture... it all came back! Thanks mate!
You don't have to ask the bands permission if you want to use their music. It is polite to do so, but you don't have to do it.
When you are an artist you are registered at a copyrights company (I don't know what it is called in England) but here in holland it's BUMA/Stemra. If you want to use music in a commercial you pay the copyright company, and they will pay the money to the person(s) who have the copyrights to the song.
So you dont'have to ask permission, you only have to pay money. But I guess if the artist finds the commercial or movie or whatever inappropriate they can always ask to remove their work from it
I love Queen songs (or related) in commercials.
Here are some more:
We will rock you (not the original version though, but I think it's funny) (Evian, two versions: one of em is with the animated waterdrop, the other a tv commercial from Germany)
Somebody to love (Coca-Cola, from Spain or another spanish speaking country)
Somebody to love (Euflorie)
Guide me home (Lancia)
I'm in love with my car (Jaguar)
Too much love will kill you (SM3 Renault Samsung Motors, Japan)
One vison (Renault Megane, French)
and an american radio version of McDonald's with an adjusted McD version of BoRap
Do you have the commercials you've posted above on your computer, so you could upload it on rapidshare? I can post mine, if someone's interested.

Yeah. I wasn't into Queen then (and I'm kinda glad, because that wouldv'e been akward), but I definitley remember that. But Fred might have been a bit happy, just considering the theme of the commercial... But I can totally see your point.
