Has anybody heard this and what do they think of this? Is it worth buying or should I just download it? |
Serry... 12.01.2007 11:21 |
It's brilliant. Though it's all about the one theme only. |
FriedChicken 12.01.2007 11:22 |
Thats in most soundtracks. One or two themes. I think it's a brilliant mix of classical, electronic and rock music |
Phill the Thrill 12.01.2007 14:37 |
I love it. there is one or two tracks i didnt like as much. but everyone else is right, some of it is a little repetative, where theme 4 and 5 sound very much like 1 and 2, type of things. slightly differant but much the same |

Furia is nice. It's a perfect ambiental music. "Furia is timeless and belongs to the world" like Brian said. I got mine for 2 Dollars when I found it by accident at a local music shop :P |

Richy Mercury wrote: Has anybody heard this and what do they think of this? Is it worth buying or should I just download it?Buy it, tell us what you think of it. I think it's great. I personally don't like listening to it on random, as I think it sounds much better as a whole. |

Definitely worth buying! I really like it but don't expect anything that really sounds like a Queen album. Although it has the same signature tune throughout (except for the odd one or two), it's mood changes slightly depending on the scene in the film that piece of music is depicting. I've been looking for the DVD of the film in my local shops but no joy yet. |

Watch and listen to 'Young Frankenstein', then listen to 'Furia'. Note a common musical theme? |

goodco wrote: Watch and listen to 'Young Frankenstein', then listen to 'Furia'. Note a common musical theme?Wow, what an eye-opener! Hey, I then watched "The Godfather", and then the 2005 series of Doctor Who! Amazing how many people ripped off "The Kiss (Aura Resurrects Flash)"! |

I love it. Most of it is very nice to play before bed. And 'Dream Of Thee' is just beautiful. |

Dream of thee reminds me a bit of White Queen. And there's Emily May singing! I have never seen the movie. Yet i can sleep at nights. |

Before it finished, I knew what it was from. Pulled out the movie, went to certain spots, and shore 'nuff, I was right. |
Rompez 21.01.2007 13:18 |
goodco, there are very few similarities between these two themes, maybe except first few notes and violin. :) |

Has anyone actually watched the movie? |
ARCHIVIST?WTF! 23.01.2007 15:09 |
I would recommend it.If you could ignore the French being spoken throughout and the crap reggae song then in my mind it's a lot better than Flash.Dream of Thee is a great song.Probably not good enough to have been released as a single but the album as a whole is great.Should be able to buy it at mid-price. |
beautifulsoup 24.01.2007 19:29 |
"Dream of Thee" is beautiful. I just wish Brian had done a better job singing it... ...or at least a more consistent vocal. |
Grantcdn1 19.02.2007 00:34 |
I'd love to see the movie....does anyone have it? has anyone seen it? is it out on DVD somewhere? |
_Bijou_ 19.02.2007 09:42 |
I think 'Dream of Thee' is beautiful. I love that little melody at the beginning. And Brian's voice suits it perfectly. It's so delicate. |
ern2150 19.02.2007 11:01 |
I rented it from Netflix a few weeks ago. It's kind of good. There's a lot of symbolism that doesn't really go anywhere though, and I was just left scratching my head. If your kids like violence and nudity, they'll love Furia! |
Micrówave 21.02.2007 12:07 |
The first time I heard it I thought it was "Track 13" Part Two. Yawn. Think of it as Brian May kidnapped by Yanni and tortured by John Tesh. Then Kitaro comes and saves him. |
cacatua 05.08.2012 14:55 |
I think it is beautiful and haunting and like it very much, as does my husband. I'm glad I got when I did as it is getting to be rather pricy to acquire by now. |

Micrówave wrote: Think of it as Brian May kidnapped by Yanni and tortured by John Tesh. Then Kitaro comes and saves him.*rofl* i agree 'furia' to be a little bit boring. it's too repetitive imho. but it has it's moments. 'dream of thee' is a fascinating song, though. well done! didn't watch the movie, so i cannot tell if it fits into the moving pictures. |
AlbaNo1 08.08.2012 15:45 |
Well worth getting, though you'll probably skip through most of the more abstract tracks on your second or third listen. I wish Brian did more interesting stuff like this. But he knows he cant make money out of anything other than repackaging Queen songs. |
