The only song by them I've heard is Woman, but I personally think it's incredible. Very talented musicians. |
All I Hear Is Radio Gaga 07.01.2007 18:21 |
I saw them on TV at the UK hall of fame doing a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Communication Breakdown" and I was blown away because they sounded EXACTLY like Led Zeppelin and I couldn't believe it. |

Not my cup of tea really. And this should be in the 'personal' section. |
Josh Henson 07.01.2007 18:51 |
Hmmm...personal section. I don't care. If you don't like it, don't reply to it. Wolfmother rocks. |

I'm sorry - I'm in the wrong forum. Here I am thinking I'm in the 'QUEEN - GENERAL DISCUSSION' section!!!! |
john bodega 07.01.2007 19:45 |
It's bad enough that it's in the wrong section, but it had to be about a repetitive, derivative, horse-shit band that everyone in its country of origin is ashamed of... |
Josh Henson 07.01.2007 20:07 |
It's amazing how you guys get so damn bent out of shape about something being posted in the 'wrong forum'. If you don't like the topic, then don't post on it. Simple as that. Is it really something to fuss about or bash? I'm glad no one has come up with laws and such about this. I will flog myself and say 100 Hail Mary's tonight to atone for my unearthly and grevious transgressions. I apologize, my Lords. |

"If you don't like it.." was referring to the thread being in the wrong forum, which is what I was talking about. If you feel that it is in the wrong forum, there is no reason to bitch about it. Either reply to the topic of the thread, or go on and read some other thread in whichever forum you choose. Being bent out of shape is referring to the countless number of times that people post threads on this site and get bashed because others feel that the thread is in the wrong forum and 'the defenders of all that is great in Queenyland' always seem to jump all over the poster. That is what I was referring to. I am leaving now to watch my Heels play. Good night to you all. |

Wolfmother rocks, great live presence, their album vaguely reminds me of the Sheer Heart Attack album |

Hadrian wrote: Being bent out of shape is referring to the countless number of times that people post threads on this site and get bashed because others feel that the thread is in the wrong forum...Hmm, so according to you we are over-reacting because we feel everything has to be exactly the way we want it. Right? Let me quote the rule to the Queen - General Discussion forum that Richard Orchard (the site Administrator) set down. Richard said: Polls, favourite songs and other fun stuffThat may not be so obvious, but I think the name of the forum would be more clear Queen - General Discussion Forum So, we aren't over-reacting or anything, you were wrong in posting this here. It's blatantly obvious. If you did it by accident, you could just clear out your post and ask for a delete or something, and re-post in the Personal forum. But for some reason, I don't think that's the case. I would hate to think you were too lazy to move your cursor down the page and click the appropriate link. That'd just be incredibly...I don't know what to call it, because "lazy" doesn't cover it. So next time, try not to be such a dumbass when people ask you to start following the rules. |

I like them, my best friend is in the film clip to Joker and the Thief (And I can play that on bass too...) but shouldn't this be in the personal forum? |

Go drag your knuckles into a decent music shop and find something a little less like music that's been run through a photocopier. |

Zebonka I realize you probably heard Wolfmutha long before the US, it will be interesting to see if their follow-up shows more songwriting or if they flash out like the Darkness |
Nathan 08.01.2007 11:55 |
I think they are quite good. Not as good as Uriah Heep, AC/DC, Status Quo or Deep Purple, but still a breath of fresh air from the vast majority of music we get today. And they're Australian too, always a plus. |
Josh Henson 08.01.2007 16:31 |
I'm lazy, what can I say. I would have, but what's the point. I am, how you say, lazy? That's a good one! Anyway, I have 2 words for the lot of you.... |

Come on guys, honestly. It's not that big of a deal. And yes, I know Dan Corsen, or whomever he or she calls themself, will probably quote some other stuff from me, but I've noticed that whenever someone posts stuff in the wrong forum, they get hammered by at least 3 or more people. Some people are polite, and others aren't. It's jacked up. And that's why I started this whole thing. I'm tired of the attitude up here. This should be a happy site. And yes, I know I contributed this time to the attitude, but I was trying to make a point. Don't take yourselves and silly little rules so freakin' seriously. It appeared that others were happy commenting on the topic, EVEN if it was in the wrong forum. I know everything and everyone needs rules. Not saying that this site doesn't. I agree with no child pornography and stuff like that and not posting official material. Learn which battles to fight here, Dan and Smitty. Use your creative energies for finally getting GREG BROOKS to release some real Queen jewels. Bottom line: It's not the end of the world, people. Smile, there's better stuff to get pissy about. |
Mr Faron Hyte 08.01.2007 17:13 |
Its Richard's house. We all post here at his sufferance. He wants people to post about Queen in the forums marked "Queen"; stuff that isn't about Queen he asks that we post in the personal section. Its just paying the man the respect of abiding by his wishes since we are playing in his sandbox and for free. So be nice and do what the man asked. If its not about Queen, put it in the personal section. Its not a big deal to do, and its playing by the house rules. You can run things however you like on your own board. |
Dan C. 08.01.2007 17:35 |
You're right, Hadrian. It's not a big deal. Or at least it wasn't until YOU made it one. All that was said to you (at least by ME) was "Not my cup of tea really. And this should be in the 'personal' section". To which you replied " Hmmm...personal section. I don't care. If you don't like it, don't reply to it. Wolfmother rocks." Do you get this defensive every time someone reminds you of something for YOUR benefit, or are you just upset that not everyone adores Wolfmother? And as for being polite, it's a two-way street. My initial reply to you was polite, but your's to me was not. YOU started the attitude here, not me, and not Smitty. You, Hadrian, are responsible. Maybe next time you should respond with the same civility that you think you deserve. |

You got me, but read what I wrote and think about what I said re: people bitching out others up here for posting in the wrong forums and for poor English. You're right. I apologize for lashing out. Friends, fellow Tarheel? |
Josh Henson 08.01.2007 17:59 |
DELETE THIS POST PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF FREDDIE AND ALL THIS IS HOLY IN THIS LAND (too lazy to e-mail Richard) ;) |

Hadrian wrote: You got me, but read what I wrote and think about what I said re: people bitching out others up here for posting in the wrong forums and for poor English. You're right. I apologize for lashing out. Friends, fellow Tarheel?I agree there IS a lot of undue bitching, and most especially for poor English. And I hold nothing against you either. These things happen here all the time, but they usually aren't resolved very cleanly. |

7Innuendo7 wrote: Zebonka I realize you probably heard Wolfmutha long before the US, it will be interesting to see if their follow-up shows more songwriting or if they flash out like the DarknessI do wonder actually. Sales wise, they were off to a shakey start - my copyright lecturer was watching it rather closely. Don't get me wrong, more power to them for 'making it'... but really, they're a decent band with inferior songs. |
