Hi y'all!! Anyway, I know that we all love Queen, but what other bands do you all like? I personally like most classic rock bands from the 60s and 70s (except for the Rolling Stones) such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Sweet and The Who. I also like some American bands such as Foreigner, Journey, and System of a Down. I don't really care for modern music at all (except for System of a Down). |

I love everything from Neil Diamond to Iron Maiden and everything else inbetween (and I mean everything, besides rap and hip hop there ain't much I won't listen to). My music taste is broader than Mr Blobby in a bakery |

Apart from Queen I love all the other "classic rock" stuff: Led Zep of course, Pink Floyd - sheer genius, even the early Genesis, as they satisfy my little Prog-Fetish... ;-) Sometimes I like things a bit jazzy, like Steely Dan and the odd bit of Miles Davis. From the contemporary ones Radiohead (see PF...)is high on the list. |

I also enjoy many bands from lots of genres-Zeppelin is the only band I rate over Queen, but I also love the Beatles. After that, Pink Floyd, The Who, Stones (1978 and earlier), Tori Amos, most "grunge" bands, the Pretenders, Mellencamp, THE CLASH!, the under-appreciated Ian Hunter/Mick Ronson, Doors and I'd be curious to know if anyone is familiar with a gothic band called Type O Negative? Really heavy metal is not my usual choice, but these guys from Brooklyn are very humorous as well as have good songs. |

Pink Floyd, The Police, old Van Halen, Dada, Audioslave. All great bands in their own right. |

journey, Pink floyd, Dire straits, toto and overall Asia: I think john Wetton is the second best singer in the world after freddie of course...and don't forget Asia has a great guitarist called Steve Howe. Asia is the only rockband (in my opinion) to have a melodic approach as good as Queen |

I'm with Prophets Song on this. My tsate in music is wide and varied. The only music I dislike is dance music and jazz. Other than that, if it's got a tune I'll give it a listen. what I do like today is the fact there a lot of bands, not boy or girl bands but REAL bands out there now. I haven't listened to modern music so much for over 10 years but with bands like Muse, Razorlight etc out there the modern music scene is improving all the time. A quick. short list of my all time faves is....... Queen, Bruce Springsteen, T.Rex, Fleetwood Mac, anything whatsoever with Paul Weller in it, G n R, Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, U2, anything whatsoever with Paul Rogers in it EXCEPT Queen + PR which is abysmal. Johnny Cash, Yes, Neil Young, any Delta blues and most blues, most country music but not all. Glam rock, Prog rock, Heavy Metal, Punk, New Wave...... I could go on for days but it's time for work! Oh yes, and Journey as well! |
