I'm just wondering if it will be a re-release of A Day At The Races, like the one of A Night At The Opera...?
It would be great to have excellent quality CD and DVD with "new" videoes!
and it's also 30 years annoversory...
So, if anybody knows anything, please let me know :) Thanks!
Hmmm...I'm not an expert in these "matters"...but I think that ADATR just isn't as popular as ANATO...I mean...
ANATO = Bohemian Rhapsody, You're My Best Friend...etc.
The songs on ADATR......are not so popular (except for Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Somebody to Love and Tie Your Mother Down.)
But you do bring a good point there...I think there should be...since ADATR resembles ANATO in some ways.
Somebody to Love is probably the Bohemian Rhapsody of ADATR.
;P
But I don't know. lol
But at least Jeff Lynne released a 30th anniversary edition of ELO´s "A New World Record" this fall... always loved this one since it came out on vinyl, you name it, 30 years ago!
Only 5 and half more years to go till the release of the 30th anniversary edition of "Hot Space"... :-)

I'm already counting the days! I'm reallly looking forward to listening to watch a new video made for Dancer, with 5.1 sound. It'll be the thrill of my life!
Well there has been talk about releasing a couple of titles as 5.1 mixes a while ago. After the The Game and ANATO DTS DVD-A's. Queen II and ADATR have been mentioned specifically as candidates to be the next to get the treatment.
But if all goes through, I do think that they will alter the format. No DVD-A's like the other two, but packages more like the ANATO 30th.
I do hope they will see light of day in whatever form. Love those 5.1's!
Oh, how I wish there would be one, but I don't think there will be. :o(
No Boh. Rhap... Even though I think most of my fav. songs are on that album.. Long Away, Somebody To Love, You And I.
But it would be VERY nice indeed! =D
Keeping in mind that they didn't do a 30th anniversary release for 'Sheer Heart Attack': no.
Maybe for 'News' they will do something since it was more popular in the States. The bad thing is, they've only got 3-4 non-singles in live videos. But then again, 'Opera' they'd got only two actual videos and in 'News' they've got three.
I'd have loved to hear a 15th anniversary edition of 'Innuendo'. Especially Steve's part. Let's think of it: the main guitar comes off the centre channel (with raucous rhythm on the front speakers), while the chromatic run starts off in rear left and ends up in rear right. Then the harmony guitars appear in front (or rear) channels while flamenco licks are in centre, and handclaps are louder. Then we've got Steve's licks appear everywhere at different channels while synths fade in, and then we've got the orchestra, and so on... God, why don't Brian and Roger endorse releases like those? Those records are the REAL Queen!
They still can release the 5.1 surround without the aniversary title.
I think that eventualy every Queen record will be released in that format, and the first 6 albums make more sense to be released in 5.1, and of course the Innuendo stuff would be great too!
I think Queen II and ADATR would be wonderfull.
Take care

They should do Queen II I love that album...I'm sure a lot of fans would by that dvd/cd
I agree News of the World is a more likely candidate for anniversary treatment. Though I don't know the status of the missing multitracks. I bet we would have had a DVD-Audio of NOTW long ago if they had everything they needed to mix it properly. ADATR isn't on the same level as HUGE commercial successes like NOTW, ANATO, The Game.
Though it did get MFSL treatment which is somewhat surprising.
Though Queen is huge, and we all love them, they are cautious of 'overdoing' it in the market. I'm surprised Hollywood Records has gone as far as they have for the U.S. market.. "On Fire" for example.. I could have easily understood them thinking there wasn't a big enough market for it here.
Took their sweet time with the new Freddie CD.. and so far have decided against the DVD.
I'm not saying the U.S. dictates whether such things are even released, but I'm sure we're one factor in deciding.
