So who in the US has gotten hit by the snow? It snowed non-stop last night, so I wasn't surprised when I saw about 10 inches outside my window this morning. I just called the daycare where I work and told them I couldn't get out of our drive-way. My boss told me that there weren't any kids there yet, but that one mother called and said "Well, if I can get out, I'll bring my son in." Her job is being a window washer, so how is she going to wash windows in this weather? LOL!!
Here the cherry trees are in blossom. We have had the warmest November in history and right now it's still 12 °C - much too warm for the season. It's the end of a year full of weather extremes.
Oh man, we are getting hit. It started about 3am, and hasn't let up since. We are in a winter storm warning until 7pm tonight. The problem is, where I am at we are right in the middle of everything....just south of us they are getting freezing rain, and just north of us they are getting all snow. So what are we getting? Snow for alittle while, then freezing rain to ice it over, then another layer of snow, then another layer of freezing rain to ice it over...repeate ad nauseum (add the wind blowing like crazy as well). And two days ago it was almost 60 degrees F outside and I was wearing only a T-shirt and jeans!
Oh well...I guess it is December now. Welcome to Michigan...give the weather five minutes, and it will change.
It's been in the mid to upper 70's here the past few days. I think a cold front is coming though, and we'll be in the 50's soon...BRRRRRR..;-)
I really, really wish we'd get a little bit of snow this winter. It's been 4 years now since there has been any snow..:-(
Needless to say, people go nuts when we get the least little bit of snow here.

Want snow? Head up here! We'll have tons by the time this thing is over
Currently in PA, it's a balmy 64, with a potential high of 72 and thunderstorms. Tomorrow? 48 degrees.
I bought a Jeep for a reason - it'd better fucking snow this winter!!!

Actually it's not too bad, once you get used to it. I figure if you can drive in snow and blizzard like conditions (and the university just announced they are closing down at 12 today, so it must be getting really nasty out there since CMU NEVER closes for weather) you can drive in anything...I think the northern states have some of the best drivers in the wintertime...it's the kids who come from the southern states who cause a majority of the accidents in the winter

Ummm...I lived in Minnesota for a year and managed not to get in a wreck. I saw pleeeenty of cars with Minnesota license plates in the ditch, though. ;-P

HAHA! I said Some of the best drivers...not all of them. There are exceptions to every rule :-P
Yesterday I was putting up my Christmas lights in the 68 degree weather, cleaned out my garage, raked up the last bit of leaves....
Today, I have had to chase the flashing sign across the lot (stupid owner of the dealership forgot to drill the holes and implant the rebar into the ground) in the 34 degree cold with 60 mph winds, with snow flurries flying...
I want yesterdays weather back.
I woke up this morning, and I was terrified.
It was 65 degrees outside.
I thought I was dreaming.
There's been plenety of times when we've had snowstorms before Thanksgiving and now this...
The first day of December in Massachusetts and it's 65 degrees in the morning. And humid. I guess that's global warming for ya, eh?
I guess we're expected to get snow flurries on Monday.
