So i found this release on ebay link and here link but i havnt been able to find any more information on it on the internet the closest thing i havebeen able to find is this quote from wikipedia "Long only availale on vinyl, "Star Fleet" is now available on CD in two forms. It was first re-issued on CD as part of Brian May's "Back To The Light" single. There were two CD singles - the first (which came in a special pack with space for the second CD) featured "Star Fleet" and "Let Me Out". The second had "Blues Breaker" in it. Then in 1993 it was re-issued as part of the Japanese mini-album "Resurrection", featuring the three Star Fleet Project songs as tracks 6-8, albeit in a different order from the original vinyl release." my question is, is this the same thing? and is it worth getting? |

Is it the same thing as what? The two ebay listings are for the same thing. The Ressurection CD's are something different: link And yeah, it's totally worth getting. |

On a related note, I bought a Starfleet mini LP last year. I don't have it with me at the time but I remember it had a GOLDEN STAMP (not a paper or sticker, but a stamp) on the cover. I remember it read something about it being For promotional uses and I was wondering if someone has it or if is it any more valuable than the regular issue. I don't remember the country or origin, might be USA or Germany. I know this is vague but that's all I can tell you about it without travelling 1000km to my home town and check it out, hehe :). Maybe someone knows something about it? I made a search last year and I found it on EIL.com but it didn't have a price. It was listed as a different item from the regular issue, btw. Any help would be appreciated. |

Starfleet was a cute little song....I mean, where else can you hear Brian May and Eddie Van Halen playing around like that for fun? I have the CD versions of that, picked them up, geez, 1992? 1993? It was a two disc set, with the first disc having room to hold the second CD, similar to what is shown above. That song will always remind me of Bruce Springsteen.......was blasting that getting ready to drive to Indianapolis to see him for hte first time back in 1999. I still bust that song out sometimes on CD's and the i-pod for parties. |

Star Fleet's a great song. I love when the synth kicks in, and the drums on the recording sound great. Sure, it meanders at times, but it's fun. |

I never thought it would be something really special since it's only the stamp which is different from the regular issue but it's good to confirm it. On the other hand, I have a MIH mexican CD with the original Let Me Live and a mexican Backchat/Calling all girls, which might be a bit more valuable but not really that much. I find it difficult to get old or rare vinyl here in Monterrey. I envy you european guys with your small flea markets filled with rarities, hehe :). Wiley |

Wiley wrote:Yes, I recall who the only man on the planet with that CD is....and to be fair you were very good about it, given that nobody believed you until you proved it, at which point they cried out for copies, which you were kind enough to supply.Penetration_Guru wrote: Not really that valuable, given that the only difference is the stamp.
