Is it at all possible for some fans who have bootleged gigs that they may be able to share some without JD in them. As QUEEN did do shows without him in the earlly 60's 70's.
It would be great hearing one. As not one has been put up online.

No. The first Queen concert was in 1970. At the time the band had not yet met John Deacon. As far as I know none have been recorded, not even for the band's own archive.
Pity.
Or not.

This is the first concert recorded.
(and only one without John-
P14 Sat 9th Jan 1971 - UK, Ewell, Technical College (bass Barry Mitchell)
Queen played alongside Genesis as a support act for Kevin Ayers and The Whole World Band
The following set-list does not represent the complete concert
1. Jailhouse Rock, 2. Stupid Cupid, 3. Be Bop A Lula, 4. Hey Big Spender, 5. Bama Lama Bama Loo
Exact song list is unknown but a typical set list of the time included
Liar, Son And Daughter, Doing All Right, Hagman, Stone Cold Crazy, Keep Yourself Alive, Jailhouse Rock-Medley
The entire concert was recorded by Ken Testi on a Grundig reel-to-reel tape. However, because of technical problems, only the rock 'n' roll medley survives (in this era, it would have been likely to comprise a significant proportion of the band's set anyway). The tape is now in Barry Mitchell's personal collection. A flyer for this concert is briefly featured in the "Genesis Archive" video.
I found this info on: link
I think Barry Mitchell later on discovered that his tape was actually from the Golders Green Hippodrome gig on 1973, or is this Ken Testi tape a different one? I'm almost sure it's the same one but I could be wrong (not really, haha).

In Fact, the pre John Deacon gig you mention in Barry Mitchell's collection is a fake, (Unknowing to Barry, until recently.) if I remember correctly, it was in fact "Golders Green" R'N'R medley slowed down. I Think?
Original question? any Queen Concerts without John? All the Queen+ concerts since the Freddie Tribute.

Queen discovered Buddy Holly, on their first U.S. tour with Barry Mitchell on bass(he later changed to piano and becamr Barry Mannilow), in Lubbock, Texas. They gave him his first break opening for The Quarrymen. ROFL
Go get "Queen+" live material from last year... no John included... same goes for this bloke called Fred who used to sing for them a couple of times.
Any live recordings from 05/06 are something YOU can call "pure Queen"!!!
Go try to find the RIGHT stuff in here... ever wondered why this site is called Non-Queenzone?!?
PS: In the 60´s John had to be at home at 5PM... no chance for any afternoon or evening gig.
He played by the rules of his mom way back then!!!

As did the other lads, I would imagine. Well, except for Roger - I've always had this vision of him as a teenager: A James Dean, "Rebel Without a Cause" type.
