Whats the deal with the arrows on Freddie's costumes during Hot Space? I never really cared until I saw the same type of thing in an AC/DC video tonight. Anybody have any idea?
I learned on QZ that AC/DC is something about gay world. All of us know how body language had so many references with Freddie's gay world. So, if 1+1 is equal to 2....
it is something 'bout gay.
50% of mistery has been shown(?)
It was a cheeky nod to Freddie's sexuality. The arrows go in both directions, much like the man himself.

Of course, the famous arrows. Well, as far as I'm concerned they weren't leaning towards gay specifically. It was SEX in general that it was referring to. In the music video for Body Language notice that it was men and women making out and doing God know's what. Besides, I doubt that Brian, Roger, and John would want to promote themselves any gayer than the band already looked.
I mean, for God's sake, their band was called QUEEN! How much gayer could a name get? Oh well, I like the name...its regal. You know, royal and magestic? Much like their music!
p.s.
And you know what, I'm tired of all this Queen was for the gay public bull shit. I'm sorry, but Queen is a rock band with a lot of class. Not the freakin' Village People...no offense to the Village People of course...

^ You bring shame upon the Village People. They're "YMCA" dance is sacred and passed down through the generations. :P
I just see arrows that sometimes point to erogenous places...
Now, if you want me to bull-shit you, I would say that it's a metaphor for relationships, taking the middle ground between raw sexuality and the mind (where the arrows are pointing). Sure, there's sex, but what about somebody to love ?
And Brian had arrows on this shirt in the 70's : link link

I love that arrow costume! I like the wife-beater he has with the red and yellow arrows.
