I think that we can all agree that we love Freddie very much. Although it is still the 23rd in the US, I would like to hear about how you all are honoring Freddie. I am going to listen to Queen and read my Freddie book. |

Well....Shouldn't we be honoring him on his birthday instead? I mean........it's bad enough already....but to HONOR him on his DEATH day? WTF? No way. =P He will be in my thoughts throughout the day, though...and I MIGHT tell some people about it and watch Queen DVD's all day long :P *giggle* |

Unfortunately, I have to work. But, my boss said that I could wear my Queen badge on my uniform to honor Freddie. When I get home, I'm going to light a candle and listen to Queen. I've already donated half of my pay cheque to a local AIDS charity in honor of Freddie. He will be in my thoughts all day. |

Then again, if you find youself dancing around to "Love of My Life" while holding the champagne flute - this may be time to sit down. Drinking any more may lead to something foolish like watching "Yanni Live". ... Come to think of it - for my Christmas gift, I planned my meals for the day and there's champagne and pastries on the breakfast menu. I'll think of Freddie then, when I celebrate my own life... Which, to be as cheesy as humanly possible, I do owe somewhat to him. Thank you Freddie, if I had met you I would give you the courtesy of not caring and talking about the weather. |

It's no shame to think about it, although some people don't understand to feel some emotion, even for someone they don't know personal. In honour or in celebration. The 15th anniversary is special, that's why I think it's okay to say a few more words compared to other years. I'll listen in honour but let's celebrate the memories and the music of Freddie Mercury. |

I'll simply listen to a Queen song a little bit now and then during the day. I'll remember him and just plain think of him. I'm also wearing a Queen shirt and all black. Its not abnormal for me. I wear black a lot. It would just have more meaning today... Overall, I'm not going to get over dramatic today. He'll just be in my thoughts... |

I posted this on my blog - Another person is Freddie Mercury. Everyone says oh Queen was gay (wrong, he was the only bisexual in the group) and because he was gay that makes the whole band gay. WHAT THE CRAP??!! I don't know what kind of crack you're on, but it has to go! Next time you dance to or listen to We Will Rock You, Another One Bites the Dust or We Are The Champions I guess you'll have to turn it off and never sing it again! (We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions are two different songs, by the way - they play together on the radio since one song was on the A side of the record and the other song was on the B side of the record - released in 1977. And, Freddie wrote Champions in 1975, while Brian wrote Rock You in 1977, so they can't be the same song!) And, Freddie became gay due to molestation by another boy when he was 13. This apparently was the devil's way of developing a stronghold in that category. (Yes, I know that being gay is wrong, but still, I can see the origination.) And, Freddie's voice range was 4 octaves. (low D to high D) Anyway, this man was very talented, and I hate how people overlook his charisma, piano playing, and vocal and songwriting talents. Guess who got the world's greatest frontman award?! FREDDIE! On this day, Farouk Bulsara (Freddie Mercury) has been dead for 15 years. (Death = pneumonia from AIDS, he stopped taking his meds.) Love you, Freddiepoos! |

I almost shed tears when they played No One But You and TATDOOL, but I was okay. I'm going to watch Wembley DVD. Anyway I listen to Freddie's voice everyday, though. :)) |

In honour of him, I decided to fill my day with tribute and worship... My schedule : 8:12am : Woke up. I had champagne for breakfast, and managed to get down a full third of a bottle of Moët et Chandon. I had a pastry to steady myself. During the last bit of what my constitution could take, I found myself dancing to Love of My Life. 8:53am : I got dressed. It was really hard to decided what to wear... So... I finally settled on my Queen shirt... and my black pants, and my cat socks, and I wore my black underwear. 9:12am : I did the nails on my left hand black. Freddie was such a genius. This way I don't have to use my "bad" hand to do all that tricky brush-work ! 10:00am : I stopped listening to A Night at the Opera, and I put on the radio. 10:07am : They still haven't mentioned Freddie... 10:16am : Well, I requested they play that "Requiem" with Sarah Brightman ... only... they told me off and said "They don't play shit like that for crusty dead homos"... and they also told me that they didn't have the song I wanted anyway... 11:00am : I got the local Top 40 station to play "Another One Bites the Dust". Sure, it's a little crude - but at least they played it. 12:30pm : Lunched on my Freddie-shaped cake. Savoured his genitals. 1:00pm : We donate condoms to local charity. Weren't really sure to go with "regular", "ribbed", or "her pleasure" ... got some of each. 2:00pm : I had a nap. I dreamed of Freddie. He told me that I was safe and that he would protect me. I hugged him. I woke up with his scent on my clothing... or... what I would imagine he smelled like... and a warm ball of evergy by my side... *sigh*... but that could just have been the cat... 6:00pm : After my nap, I started on a plan to properly prove to Freddie that I love him, and am devoted to him. 6:48pm : Lit the first candle... I couldn't help but cry. 7:00pm : I set up the room where it is to happen. 7:30pm : My plan to show Freddie my devotion is this... I will sacrifice one of my cats so he won't be lonely in heaven. I think I'll give him Peaches, as I love her the most. It will prove how much he means to me. 7:45pm : All the candles made it hard to see... and I dropped her... 8:00pm : Found her. 8:03pm : Peaches has joined Freddie in heaven. Rest in peace, both of them. I'm sure they will both enjoy happiness. 8:30pm : We bury Peaches unneeded body in the backyard. 9:00pm : We have dinner. Some of Freddie's favourite foods are on the menu. 10:00pm : We watch Queen's Greatest Video Hits I while I work on sewing my replica of his "Bohemian Rhapsody" suit. 1:40am : It is time for sleep... Another party's over... Freddie... you will be in my thoughts until next year, my dear... I live my life - for you - Thinking my thoughts - for you and only you - ... How true. |
