OK, I've checked the old threads and I don't think this is redundant...which Bad Company song sounds the most like one Freddie would've written/sung? I always wondered about this once I found out Paul was working with Brian and Roger, and by chance today I heard an old BC song that I could picture Freddie having written-"Love Me Somebody" from Run With The Pack. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
BTW Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and please take a moment to remeber Frddie tomorrow (like anyone here wasn't already) :(
Structure-wise, lyrically AND musically there is not a single song Freddie 'could have' written.
But if you mean which one's should have fitted his voice? Yeah, Shooting Star might have been awesome. But I think Bad Company would have sounded great as well!
For Bad Company, I'd go with something like 'Can't Get Enough' I guess. However, if you include the band Free, 'Fire and Water' has Freddie written all over it. It's not really his style as a writer, but I can hear in my head a job by Freddie that would blow PR away.
Freddie was never a blues singer/songwriter. So I don't think that Paul's songs would fit Freddie perfectly. But then it would've been nice to hear Freddie sing "All Right Now" or "Wishing Well". On the other hand "Feel Like Making Love" seems like too much of a stretch.
