Allright, i tryed looking in lyrics websites and most of the queen cds themselves to find out what this song is called and what album its on.
I can only make out some lyrics, that sound like this...
"...folks were allways holding me down (downtown!)
....they said i..<something something>...this town"
The words might be wrong , but it also goes near the rest of the verse/chorus what sounds like this...
"...thats what she fell for...(the leader of the pack!)..."
If any of you are fimilar with YOUTUBE...you can check out the link below, and see a clip of a tv special of freddie mercury, never mind the video so much as the part where they interview VINCE, the biker bartender , when it comes to 3 minutes and 17 seconds, the song will start playing in the background and you will hear it for yourself. link
Theres the link above.
I cant figure out what this song is called or which album its on.
It's not a Queen song, and it doesn't sound like Freddie on vocals, but maybe just a soundalike. There's a very good chance it's 'Leader Of The Pack' by The Shangri-Las.

^ Yeah.
This isn't a Queen song.
... link
^ It's that song.
"Leader of the Pack" - The Shangri-las
I didn't visit the YouTube site, so I don't know if it's Freddie singing, or whatever.
It is a song by The Shangri Las, a 60's girl group.
And its about a girl who gets involved with a biker boy, who led a biker gang.
So, its a cover of that groups song.
Well, we've figured out that much.
BUT, i must disagree with one of yall.
I actually think it does sound a lot like Freddie Mercury sining this cover...
And remember, Freddie took on the leather biker bad boy look in his mid-career concerts. I think he was into the whole biker thing at some point.
And he's known for covering oldies songs...
like "Big Spender" by another female artist.
And "Hello Mary Lou" Ricky Nelson
...To name a couple.
I think the fact that he WAS into the biker thing and performed covers of various oldies songs like "Big Spender" , point to a high possiablity and probublity , that this song , is indeed performed by Queen.
I think its sounds like Queen, im guessing it was done into the 80's perhaps? Like early early 80s, around the time Crazy Little Thing Called Love , came out, or prior.
I never thought it be this hard to figure who did a song lol.
Well, those are my thoughts.
BY ALL MEANS, please help me solve this mystery, cuz no ones proved anything concrete yet besides the fact that it was a Shangri Las song from the 80s BUT clearly covered into a rock song by male musicians (which sounds just like Freddie and i believe is Queen)
Thanks
It's not Freddie on vocals, and Queen or Freddie didn't record this song. I can't imagine what they would have recorded it for, especially if it's from the mid-80s.
Thanks Mr, now the "mystery" is solved. Twisted Sister IS tha band who is covering this song, not Queen.
But this would of been a perfect song for Queen or atleast Freddie to cover. And i bet he would of liked the song. If you check out the Twisted Sister video, the begining looks like something perhaps Queen would of done, and Dee Snider standing in the light with the white tights on.... you can picture or imagine him doing all that, and the rest of the band like roger taylor and such on motorcycles.
Twisted Sister was a hunch of mine that they were the ones, but i just figured it was Queen since to me it sounded like Freddie, at least that part of the song. And that it was on a Freddie documentary.
Well, again, its Twisted Sister and NOT Queen, like Mr.Mercury finally concluded with evidense from YOUTUBE.
CASE CLOSED ;)
Am I the only person that used to do this when I was like 6 or 7?
It used to really upset my Mom when I'd start to sing along... "That's when I fell for... The Leader Of The Pack" and then make the biggest fart sound using the 'artificial fart on the arm' trick. Especially when we had company.
