I do realize this may be a silly topic...but it makes quite a lot of sense.... Have you ever noticed that Queen is a pretty addictive band? I mean seriously...Almost ALL of their songs have an element of good to them. I know most of you HATE Body Language....but if you listen, you haave to admit that the bass and vocals are pretty damn good....even Delilah has some good in it. That's beside the point, though. Queen fans seem to be one of the most obsessed for some reason...I don't really know if that's the truth...but, anyways, I'm just expressing my opinion. I wouldn't dream of collecting any other band's COMPLETE work...except for Queen. I mean Beatles...? No way. Queen just has this..."thing"...in which ALL of their songs are good...that's a little rare to find a band like that. I think I am over exaggerating...but I'm just really sick...and I have a fever...and I am rambling on right now. xD xD xD Another point: Queen is a very attractive band...You have to admit that Freddie, Bri Rog and John and handsome men...with nice hairstyles :P....This is from the eye's point of view... It has occured to me that Queen can't be anymore perfect for the typical obsessive music fan. Please don't split me in two. -_- SERIOUSLY! Listen to ALL of the albums....ALL OF THE SONGS ARE AMAZING! I am not crazy...;_; |

I totally agree! Queen really are an addictive band, everything they did I found facinating. However, you are speaking the obvious. Then again, I must be obsessive since I answered to this thread. Anywho, you're not alone. Keep rockin', Steve :) |

I know what you mean! I grew up loving Queen and I got my first Queen CD for Christmas on my 10th Birthday. Before that, I had Queen cassette tapes. I wore out that CD and ended up getting a new one. From then on, my collection started to grow. Everytime I go to the Video or Record store, I look for a new Queen CD, DVD, or video. They are very addictive and I love being addicted to them!!!! |

You know, out of my screename, the only one I would consider buying the complete works of is Queen. There are about 60 Queen songs I know and love and only about 16 Rolling Stones and David Bowie tracks put together. This might be terrible of me but still you are quite right. There is something brilliant in almost every song I listen to by Queen |

^ EXACTLY! It's like...You enjoy other bands...but it's a rare occurrance that you will ACTUALLY buy their complete works! lol...unlike Queen <3333 |

YAY! It's good to be back posting on QueenZone after what, a month? I have noticed that about Queen as well. I would never spend money to get any other band's (at least so far) complete work. Except maybe Nick Drake. But he's a solo artist with only three albums. Back to Queen, I can put ANY CD in a player and change to ANY song and I'll be happy. Sure there are some songs that I like more than others, but I still LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF QUEEN'S BLESSED, GODLY SONGS TO DEATH! |

There was a time when I was addicted too, I think till I was 15. But in my opinion it does not have a positive influence on life - at least for me, because 'the Queen machine' was literally squeezing energy out of me. I'm happy that I began to buy albums of other bands; now I love Yes, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Kingdom Come etc. as well. I can say that now Queen is rather a passion/interest for me. |

queen is very addictive, but other bands are for me too. i love lots of bands, so as well as having the complete set of queen, i have the complete sets of pink floyd, the beatles, cream, jimi hendrix (those two not as hard as there aren't as many) and ALMOST the complete set of led zeppelin, skunk anansie and morrissey. i also have many to most of the solo CD's of the individual band members of these bands!! i should really get other interests... |

<font color="FF66CC">Animayniac<h6>~luv~ wrote: ...Almost ALL of their songs have an element of good to them. The one exception to that is Death On Two Legs written by Freddie. In an interview with just Brian, Brian says something like Freddie was upset/angry with their first recording company who were making a lot of money but paying Queen next to nothing. "You suck my blood like a leach You break the law and you breach Screw my brain till it hurts You've taken all my money - you still want more." ... I almost don't like admitting this, but I feel the happiest and most alive when I am listening to/watching Queen. Now, that ain't right, is it? I agree they are a most attractive band. No matter what they were wearing, they always looked neatly groomed. At the Freddie tribute concert I thought a lot of the guest singers (bless their hearts for appearing) looked sloppy - like unmade beds. Queen were intelligent, educated, well-spoken, professional, and other artists meeting up with them even called them "nice." |

I love body language! And yes Queen is a very addictive band, I think it's the sound of the red special. The way the sound comes out is so rich, and layered. Plus, Queen themselves are the most unique band I've heard, but not only are they unique, they are the best nad ever to boot! Got'a love em... B.R |

Hi, I am one of Queen fans in Asia , in Indonesia exactly. I do not smoke and do not drink ( alcohol )and never in to drugs , but I don't know why I am really addicted to Queen , and I just can't get out of it . Off course I don't want to get out of it . There was time when I was also almost addicted to Beatles and Beegees , but it fades little by little as time goes by. But addicted to Queen is growing stronger and stronger until now. |

queenaddicted? yes, guilty as charged! I'm into queen since listening to a mixed tape of my friends which included the song "the miracle", that was the first time I recognized the name queen (around 1989). I think I noticed WATC and WWRY a lot earlier, but those songs were just there ;-)(like a national anthem) and I didn't think of the band behind it. A little later my mom bought me GH1 as a present - and then there was no turning back! gradually I bought more and more and by now I have all the "standard items" of cd's, lp's, VHS, DVD's, books + some collectable stuff. |
