i havent purchased it yet, but i did download the teaser pages from brianmay.com...
they said they werent going to use math, but they used numbers with a rediculous list of exponents...with is equivelant to math...
but i enjoyed what i downloaded...i plan to buy it soon.
but i too would like to know what people think of it...
I have the book and it is AWESOME!
I highly recommend that if you can, but it soon as you will NOT be dissapointed! The photos inside are spectacular and the writing is witty and very clear considering the complicated topics at hand.
Absolutely wonderful book...a must have for anyone even remotely interested in space, astronomy, or the "big question".
I do not know if it is yet availible in book shops in the States. I know it can be ordered online through places like Amazon, etc. but as far as bookshops actually having it in stock/display i have not seen.
It SHOULD be as this is a wonderful effort that should be enjoyed by people here. Blows National Geographic out of the water, IMO.
It's a large hardback, all heavy glossed full colour printing pages so you know it will be expensive ( what books worth buying are not these days ...really?). Trust me though...it's worth every penny!
