Queen - Live at Earls Court London, 6/7.6.1977 As there was a lossy DVD Rip of Earls Court recently, I´d like to give a true flac. Lineage : VHS Tape (Queen-Keep Dancin´) PCM > WAV (Creative Audigy 2 ZS) > flac (Level8) Don´t be astonished about the bad sound on Procession. I kept the originally bad audio intro for this upload. Its better with the start of Tie Your Mother down, you can clearly recognice, how the sound engineers raise the sound quality finally to its best.(Except for the few wellknown micro/amp dropouts.) There is also some noise towards the end between the encores, I didn´t remaster it, I didn´t change anything from the original tape. Its quite easy to replace the Intro with the original version of Procession from the CD, sounds really great in combination. In Disc 1a you´ll find a spectrum and frequency analysis Hope you like it Finally a true flac of Earls Court Frank39 link link link link link link link link link link Sir GH: I would be very happy, if you can find the time to complile this audio with your good video marerial.( except for the Intro, of course...) |

A few questions... Why did you announce it as 6./7.6.1977? Is the rock'n'roll medley included in the .rar files? Isn't Keep Dancin' VHS the best version around? If so, is it possible for a DVD transfer and share it here? Thanx once again and keep up the good work :) |

When i'll get home, i'll download this, since lately i know the time of rapidshare happy hours. Thanks for sharing. |

I announced it this way, as the RnR Medley is from the day before. At least, that´s what I was told. 2.See answer before, its the complete show, RnR Medley is included, but I lost 4 songs from disc1 while uploading, they will come within the next hours. 3.I really can´t tell, if Keep Dancin is the best version around, I suppose there are better ones with better footage,Sir GH, its your turn, but I can tell you this: I got this copy in 1999 from a dutch trader, concerning the pictures it looks like a high gen copy, especially in the first half pictures a little washed out.But all in all I am very happy with it. I would share it here, if I had the right equipment, whenever I try to capture the tape, using VirtualDub, I always get to many lost frames, result is async. My Graphic Card capture software is just to simple to bring up god results, whatever I tried, result is poor. The audio itsself has remained very good all throught the copies before this tape, so why not share it here in the new flac attack? And I want you to know, the 4 SVCD version from YV is from this tape, (if not please correct me Barbara), she was so nice to do a capture for me some years ago. Result(4 SVCD)was a little to dark, but she did it on purpose, to raise picture background quality, and she did it very good. So, these are the reasons for not sharing the video, I would, if I could. |

This is incredible! By FAR the best version. Thanks so much for the share. Absolutely, I will sync this to my Earls Court DVD, and we will finally have the definitive version of this show. I have synced audio to vcd/svcd in the past, but never to DVD, so I will have to figure out how to use Ulead to do DVD. I will still use this copy of Procession, because it is lossless, unlike all the others. Unless someone can provide me with a better-sounding lossless version? I'll keep you all updated. |

Sir GH, if you take the Intro from YV´s 1 SVCD, it fits well, you won´t hear a difference. Here are the missing tracks: link. I also add them to the topic announce |

Bobby, I just don´t have the time, to update my website. I hope, in a few month it will be better. Anyway, thanks for your interest. And Tatterdemalion, feel free to upload whatever you want, if its better, we all would be happy. Thats what we are here for, to share the best possible versions. |

Tatterd...., in fact you are not so wrong, the spread versions of Earls Court are almost all in the category "Excellent". Even the mp3, taken from this source, sound great. You must listen very, very closely to HEAR a difference in EC flac and EC mp3, but of cousre there is! a spectrum analysis shows the difference! The point is: how good is the sound equipment at home! I saw and heard huge differences, using a 2/3 speaker system for 19,99 Euro, or a 5.1 system of some hundred euros. This point wasn´t mentioned at all in the whole flac/quality/mp3 discussion recently. |

I played my CDRs on my stereo (the lossy version), while I played your FLACs on my PC speakers and I thought mine was better. Then I sent a song to Sir GH and he compared them and said that your FLACs is better, so I guess my PC speakers are crap. |

Sir GH I already gave this a quick listen, and it seems to be the same source as mine, except not so loud (wich sugests some equalisation was done) and with split tracks. The noise you ear on Procession is exactly the same as my copy. I guess there is no better than this, except perhaps in the Queen vaults. |
