OK, YourValentine. I've put this on the SERIOUS area of the forum because I'm fed up with you accusing me of things which you do too. Here is the conclusive proof. You and I do not see eye to eye, but this is in no small degree due to YOU getting your facts wrong and twisting things for your own ends. Today, or yesterday, you wrote the following to me... This was your opening paragraph... YV: I am always polite. I never call people twat, idiots and other names. I did not say "your book is useless", period. GB: But, YV, you have a selective memory. In YOUR Sept thread about my book Freddie Mercury: A Life, In His Own Words, you wrote.... YV: It makes me think that the interviews were changed whenever the authors thought it was a good idea and I think they should not call it "In His Own Words" Actually, it's utterly useless. NOTICE THE PHRASE "Actually, it's utterly useless." So... are you going to state again that you did not say the book is useless, period?? Or are you going to report the truth this time, even though it does present you as someone who can indeed be rude and insulting?? Be FAIR and be HONEST YV. Tell it like it is. |

I criticised your book and if you don't stop acting like a child about it, I'll write a review on amazon. I am really getting tired about that. |

For the last time: no, I did not deny I said that your book is useless. Actually I repeated it in one of your other threads when you said I called your book "crap". I only said that I did not just say: useless, period - I did detail my reasons to find it useless. It is somehow tedious to discuss with someone who is unable to follow a simple thought. Why don't you check yourself what I said, it's all there. To make it easier: yes I find your book useless no, I did not simply call it useless without giving a reason and yes, I am going to write a review on amazon.co.uk if you want it so badly happy now? |

Er...."your book is useless" has never been said by YV about Greg's "Queen live" books. "the book is useless" has been said by YV about Freddie Mercury's "In his own words" book, which does not belong to Greg in any sense that I understand possession. I furthermore took the phrase in question to refer to th elack of context for the various quotes, which I would say was a valid point to make. |
