Is it allowed to share a bootleg that was included into the "Top 100 bootlegs" series by EMI? Or are those considered official? Does anybody know the "official legal side" of it? What does QP or EMI say about sharing those bootlegs?
If I recall correctly, they are alowed to share here, as long as you are not sharing the files purchased online.
This was agreed mainly because the bootlegs sold ot the Queenonline store where lossy and often incomplete versions.
We are allowed to share those shows here. It was Richard Orchard's view that those bootlegs were meant to stop bootleggers from making money from those shows or something to that effect. Queenzoners are sharing the concerts and not making money from them here.
It's not about sharing explicitly the EMI bootlegs.
I shared a bootleg (as FLAC files) of a concert that is sold by EMI in their "Queen Top 100 Bootlegs" series (in MP3 form and from another source) on another trading site and they deleted my torrent "because it is official stuff". I just want to know your opinion about that.
What do you think?

No one is allowed to share copyrighted material without consent of the original copyright owners (being a bootleg or not ; copyright remains with the artists wheither recorded illegally or not!)
Yes right, but that applies for EVERY recording, bootleg, whatever – being official or not.
What I want to know is: Is the "official status" only added to the explicit bootleg, that EMI sells, or to every recording of that show?
