...and no this isnt a joke, I'm dead serious, so if you have something silly to say, please save it! I know it sounds like something out of a movie, but this really did happen (and it could happen to you): I was working at my job yesterday evening at around 11:15pm CT, and I was at the front desk at the computer checking my e-mail...and these guys with mask came in,(I actually thought it was a joke being that halloween is around the corner, but as they got closer, I could tell that they werent joking) and put a pistol gun to my face...and said that if I didnt give them the money out of the drawer, they were gonna blow my fucking head off...one of the guys jumped over the desk, and demanded that I go to the safe, and shoved me in the direction that he wanted me to go...it happened so fast that I couldnt even show any emotion, i just did what they told me, and they told me not to call anybody or else...it all happened in like under 1 min...and they escaped on foot...I'm just thanking my lucky stars that nothing more serious happened, but they did rob the hotel of about $2,000 dollars, but I'm just thankful that I wasnt harmed in the process, cause they could have easily killed. Milwaukee (the city that I live in) has become very violent at of lately! |

I dont know if you've ever seen a gun up close before, but I can count the number of times that I have...and let me tell you, as soon as I saw that gun, I moved my ass quick!! Right when they walked in I frozed up, I didnt scream, didnt say one word, just gave them want they wanted, and they just left... I dont know if you (or anyone else on here) has ever heard of Jimmy John's (the sub sandwhich eatery) but their was a delivery guy that got killed here in Milwaukee in our riverwest area, a few weeks ago, he gave the guy what he wanted (which was money) but he still killed him?? I was like, thats seriously messed up, and the guy was only 22 and trying to pay for his college by working three jobs...really f'ed up! |

Oh!! Thank goodness you weren't harmed! I feel so happy for you... in a situation like that, it's like a coin toss. You live, or they kill you.. So simple, but very frightening! |

My God, if anything happened to you we would be falling to our knees in shock and screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" incredibly loudly in sheer desperation whilst drowning in a puddle of our own tears. ... Ok, my drama queen act is over. I'm so glad you're ok, dear!! :D |

Jesus! Still that's a mature attitude to take being thankful for not getting hurt, we're all glad you're not too. If it were me I'd still be having counselling this time next year! |

I know exactly how you felt... I have been held up at gunpoint twice.. the first time was a snub nose 22 revolver and it was at 7-11 (a 24 hour store in the US) his hands were shaking so bad I just knew he was gonna shoot me, and to make it even worse all I had in the drawer was 25 dollars.. fortunatly he left and was caught just up the road.. but I was a wreck.. and yuo think that when you go through it once you are good to go. Nope.. the second time was just a few years ago.. (jan 6th 2003 to be exact) and this time the gun was pointed at my face, now I worked in a town where violent crimes happen all the time and people get shot minding their own business.. so again, I thought this was the end.. he made off with just 300 bucks.. and as far as I know has never been caught.. both times I was so scared that I almost relieved myself.. (pissed my pants) but I swore I would NEVER work in a place that handled money like that again. So, I just want to wish you lots of luck in the coming years when you start to have the bad dreams and flashbacks.. they are not fun.. glad you are ok though. :) |

Wow! You did the right thing by doing whatever they asked. Hopefully we can all learn a lesson that money and possessions don't mean crap when this happens. Milwaukee's gone downhill ever since they took Laverne and Shirley off the air anyways. You should move... unless you like beer. |

Glad to hear that your were safe too, and after two times...ur lucky~ Yeah, I TRY to avoid going to like 7-11's at night, I try to do all of my shopping during the day if I can, sometimes. I work 3rd shift, and I think most crimes happen at night, but they also occur during the day. But damn, I am having flashbacks, and besides the fact that I'm only 23 years old, I'm not ready to go just yet :) have a lot more to live for! The thing that sucks is that I actually LIKE 3RD SHIFT...its just that I dont think its very safe...especially for a female. I hate hate hate the idea of working a 1st shift job(fighting to morning traffic is a headache), but if I have to I will :) |
