I admit I have never made recordings available to Queenzone, because I have none to offer. As big a fan as I am, I also do not download much because I just cannot listen to really bad recordings, though I appreciate people making them available. The other day I found a vinyl copy of Duck soup I bought in Australia in 1978 ( I think). I believe this is a Seattle show, and incomplete at that. The b-side contains some NOTW tracks recorded for the BBC with an audience taped over, making it sound live.
Anyway, Duck soup is an excellent recording and I will be happy to did out the record player and make a copy if you want. If however this is widely available in good quelity, I won't bother.
Let me know.
Well, if you don't download because of concerns over sound quality, but feel Duck Soup to be sufficient quality to listen to, then there are lots of downloads that you're falsely assuming to be not worth your time.
Oh, and I don't think it's worth uploading - there are more complete versions of the concert, and more accurate versions of the BBC tracks.
Don't know I said I was concerned about the quality, just don't get much enjoyment from listening to bad audience recordings. However I did get the chance to listen to Duck soup at a friends house today and consider it to be an excellent recording. I do not believe it to be an audience recording. I will get it to my hd later this week and make it available.
Good on you coops. Dont let them get you down.... And did you know Duck soup is also another title from a Marx bro movie... ANATO and ADATR are theres also.... FYI just incase

Actually, a direct transfer of the Duck Soup would be VERY welcome! Having the Seattle tracks in the best possible quality would be great. Just about every version out there is mp3-sourced, or is one or two tape generations from the LP.
Is this the track listing?: Somebody To Love, '39, You Take My Breath Away, BoRhap, In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited, Now I'm Here, RnR medley, Liar ??
I also have "Duck Soup" on vinyl, along with quite a few others (Stunning, Mania, Mercury Poisoning, A Night at the Warehouse, Sheetkickers, and Falklands are Rocking are the ones I can remember right now). Didn't realize in this day of digital that anyone would be interested in a transfer from vinyl. I figured these recordings would have been shared many times over already.
I'm willing to transfer some of these if anyone is interested, but need to know the best way to keep the audio the "purest".
I found a few more vinyl boots I got in the late 70's and have not played since, including some of the titles mentioned in the previous post. Geisha boys was another, no news is good news, a non-titled album with a drawing of people praying to a Buddha and a few others. Most of these are Japanese shows, and all were bought in Australia.
I need to upgrade my sound card to copy these and am interested in what they sound like.
Ah, the Buenos Aires 2-28-81 LP. This one may be interesting. Even though it's worse quality, it's still a different source, and I'd be very interested in it.

There are many LP bootlegs that didn't make it to cd, so they may still be the best versions out there... or at least, different versions.

Hopefully Tilomagnet will reply, as he knows everything! A few others could give you some good advice, too.
Okay, this is the one with the BBC tracks and 3 Seattle songs. Duck Soup is completely Seattle (and all different from the songs on "No News Is Good News").
