Here is a torrent of the concert Sir Bob just shared with us over the weekend (thanks again!!). The following is taken from his original post. Queen Stadium, Chicago December 7th, 1978 Lineage: AUD > Master (Technics RS-646DS) > WAV > CDR (2) > WAV > GoldWave (edits smoothed out) > FLAC frontend level 8 I received this recording directly from the taper himself, so it simply can't get any better than this! It's a truly excellent recording. Like the Chicago 80 show, I can't see why anyone would want to distribute anything else from this date, as this version renders all the others obsolete. It is my goal that this share accomplishes exactly that. Since 90 minute tapes were used, there are the expected slight cuts: during the Don't Stop Me Now segment, after Fat Bottomed Girls, and during We Are The Champions. GSTQ cuts out early as well. God Save The Queen DO NOT CONVERT THIS RECORDING TO MP3/WMA/OGG or any other lossy format, unless it's for your OWN use, and nobody else's. If you want an mp3 recording of this show, then find an older share of an inferior version. The quality of this version must be maintained. If I discover that this version was converted to a lossy format, then I will NEVER share a thing here again. It goes without question that one should include the lineage information when distributing this recording. This is how people can be certain they are receiving the best version possible. Enjoy!! |
