Hello, I just received high speed internet and I'm absolutely new to the 'Sharing The Music' forum. I have a question: I've downloaded the 76 Osaka afternoon show, but how can I open 'flac' and/or convert it to mp3? Thank you!
You have a couple options.
You could just burn FLAC onto CD and listen to the CDs
You could use Winamp (as previously mentioned)
You could use Flac Frontend to convert FLAC to WAV. It is playable by almost all media players and easily burnable. (link
If you want to convert FLAC to MP3 specifically, there is free software called RazorLame that converts any media file to MP3. (link
I hope this helps!
So, if I'm right, when I cannot open flac with any programme on the computer, I can burn it straight on CD and then it is playable? Or should I need first a programme which can open flac on my computer? Thank you for your help!

Try these links from Queenzone: link link
Answering your question:
You don´t need to have the program in your computer, but i think Flacfronted is free. Or you can download Mediacoder (excellent free software).
As long as you have the burning software, then it´s O.K.
If you have NERO, you have to download the FLAC pluggin. Go to: link
Hope it helps.
Take care

Yeah, my best advice is to just burn it to cd with Nero. Converting it to mp3 will make it sound worse. The point of sharing in FLAC format is to preserve the sound quality of the original. :)
