I’ve just listened to their new album(Tah-Dah) I bought it blind because I was triggered by this awful 80’s disco/pop song “I Don’t Feel Like Dancing” which I love because I like this old school disco sound. So what a surprise the album was, I mean what the hell is this, I expected more glittery disco but I got The Beatles, Pet Shop Boys, Queen, ABBA, The Doors, The Village People, Billy Idol and maybe even a little Led Zeppelin, I don’t know. What a superb album with a lot of influences I like.
Their music can be generally described as a mixture of glam rock, disco, and alternative music. They appear to have been heavily influenced by Elton John. The band echoes not only Elton John, but also the Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, Duran Duran ("the reason we got into music", as Ana says), Supertramp, David Bowie, Chic and various other dance/disco, rock, and funk acts, and they admit that their music is hard to categorize.
The band count David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend of The Who, U2, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Billy Joel and Elton John among its fans. They were the opening act for Duran Duran's 2004 reunion tour and opened for U2 on some of their UK dates for the Vertigo Tour.
This is way better then for example "The Darkness"
Go and listen and be surprised!!!
