Is there something wrong with the files or did I do something wrong? Every part (all four) contain TWO files of uncut tracks that together cover the full show...?? |
MDNA 11.10.2006 08:24 |
That is about right. I guess andy doesn't know or has the software to split the tracks. My suggestion if someone does split these into individual tracks, share the recording again replacing this in the trading pool. This kind of thing is not unhear or that unusual. I knoe that one of the circulating versions of Earls Court is like this. Two CD's each containg one massive track. |
Jjeroen 11.10.2006 08:27 |
Right; so for anyone that still wants to download this: you only need part 1. (If you download all four parts, like I did, you'll get the full show four times ;-) |
MDNA 11.10.2006 10:17 |
I don't think your right about this, oy you must be doing something wrong. I just got part 1 and it only shows one file being continued to the next part. what decompression software did you use? I find that most decompression tools often don't deal very well with split compressed files if they're not on their native format (WinAce being the exception). |
Jjeroen 11.10.2006 10:32 |
Hmmm... weird... I used winrar to unpack the files and ended up with the exact same thing in every one of the four downloads: the concert in two parts... ?? |

nope, the four parts contain the whole gig which is splitted in two parts, side A & B from the cassette - surely when you extract multipart RAR files, you must only select one of parts and right click > extract to here, thats all - that's what i did and got two .flac files from those four RAR parts. |

Jjeroen 11.10.2006 13:08 |
Well, it was easy to get it downloaded. I'm not complaining either because the full show is there, no problem. But now I am just annoyed because I got it FOUR time and I don;t understand how that could have happened. Because apparently it only happened to me...! |

If so it's quite logical...The first 2 rar-files contains one big flac-file but the rar-library is split so it can be uploaded on rapidshare. I hope that makes it clear? |

i think any shows that are posted complete as in gaps only where tape was turned over should be left like they were recorded as i feel that i gives a true represention of the concert.i hate it when you download a show and it is split into different tracks as you don't get the same ambiance of that show.don't get me wrong i'm gratfull for all recordings but when you start getting into listening to a recording then....................................................................................................................................................................... nothing, then the next track then ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... and so on..i think i just like listening to full recording better |

So Andy, what's the next one up your sleeve? Perhaps could you share something from the 70s...? |

When you´re burning live concerts make shure you disable that function and you get the concert as it is. No Gaps!! Hope it helps. Take care |
