I think it's 90% great, 8% spam, and 2% rauchously tasteless. Seems alright to me. Although there is one guy who I miss seeing posts from. He weekly gave out computer tid-bits that were so useful, links that were clever and funny, and stories I grew to enjoy. Whatever happened to Barry C? |

Im bumping this thread just to show what a bunch of twats 90% of the knob heads are on here. We never see Alby, Janet, Barry, Bob, Lisser, PG, FC, Archie, Fatty and others I may have missed even a quarter of the amount we used to. Im seriously (I never thought I would say this) in favour of some sort of moderation to tidy the place up and get it back how it used to be. FUN. |

Actually, I think everyone is doing pretty well with the topics and discussions, considering that there is no tour going on anymore, and we are all in limbo waiting for the new album. Imagine how nice it will be when the album is out and we can discuss it - or the next tour. There is still a lot that I learn here each day from the collectors, musicians, and Queen experts. There is also some interesting stuff in the personal section once in a while - some interesting perspectives on international topics, and the occasional very witty person who is entertaining. I think some of the people who post here regularly are quite brilliant. I am just getting to realize how brilliant a few are. Also, I think we really should all just remember that we can all still contribute to make it better. I once heard a talk about how relationships are "other centered", meaning that you really shouldn't focus on yourself and what you are getting from someone or other people (or Queenzone) all the time. In other words, you have to give and maybe not expect anything back. This also comes with maturity - not expecting too much back. Ha. I feel sorry for those of you who have been here long enough to have made and then lost good friends because they no longer post here. That must be quite depressing and sad for you. I am thankful every day when I see my favorite people here, still taking the time to post, even though sometimes the more intelligent comments or humorous comments I think are not fully appreciated by the majority. I think it is quite generous of these people to continue with their regular posting here and I really appreciate it. |

I must say that since Greg Brooks started to make sense the serious discussion became more entertaining. Besides that the flac project was a nice idea as well. To come to my point.. There's always something new and innovating for everybody on QZ, as long as we skip the porn threads and all that other vulgar stuff. And I know 'm asking a lot... but (mainly) the teens should act a bit more mature (not making it MSN Live the 2nd, not responding to everything in an agressive way, say some more useful things in general) |

I think this site is alright, but people are not very open! Everytime I post a thread I get attacked especially on the one about which singer would do a good album with Queen...stop saying Freddie! We know he is irreplaceable...but it's just a theoretical situation. Other than that...the people are cool. |

I'm new on Queenzone but I think that the whole site has its ups and downs. I find that some of the forums and posts are really stupid and pointless but some are very good. I may be a teenager but that doesn't mean I can't be intelligent if I want to be. |

Nobody's keeping you... I find the message boards to be 90% recycled conversation and meaningless banter. But that will change when the new album and hopefully new tour come around. There was daily value to the site in 2005. Now that the tour is over, things are quiet for the most part. Also, I don't just go to Queenzone for fresh info and conversation. There are the downloads(which are pretty much recycled items previously available on here before), news headlines and lastly, I just like the reminder that my ridiculous obsession with a 4 man 70's rock band from England is shared by so many others. Zebonka doesn't need anyone to enrich his life. He is light years ahead of the rest of us. I didn't think I was being that clever in this thread, but the lyrics I was quoting were not random at all. I was just reacting in a silly way (as I assume the other "singers" were) to what I considered to be rude, whiney, and pointless comments, insulting to the new members. This topic died and was only bumped to draw attention again to the topic starter. He obviously feels that it was his thread (his idea) that was the impetus for Barb's thread. But I don't think it was. Serry made a good point: he doesn't think it is the teens that are driving people away. Why don't you begin your discussion again with Serry's comments. I'll go back and remove all my silly comments that were so disruptive to the conversation. You know, you shouldn't stay at the library for too long. It is not good for you. |
