First time requesting something, I apologize if this has been requested or is official product. Can anybody post a good quality copy of Ian Hunter's 'You nearly did me in' featuring Brian, Freddie and Roger on BV's? All-American Alien Boy has been out of print in North America for over a decade, and not sure if that makes it okay to post here as I know it's been re-released elsewhere, not here though and it's not available on iTunes. Thank you.
Amazon.com has 4 versions in stock for order in the U.S. link
Though CDUniverse has better prices. i think this one is the best value: link
Couple bucks less than Amazon and has the 6 bonus tracks. $9.79 for an import is a steal.
"Not sure if it's official as it's out of print"?????
How many times does this need to be explained? )overlooking the fact that it was recently re-issued)
Honestly, I've never visited this section PG, hence the stupidity of my request upon further review. I meant to ask, if it's a deleted item that can't be purchased in our country, is it okay to request?, which apparently it isn't. My bad.
I understand, but I have to say that the discussion as to whether "official" still applies after removal from catalogue has occured on pretty much every part of this board by now.
The "what's official, what isn't" discussion is honestly one I've never looked at anywhere as I usually pick my spots posting. I actually did download YNDMI from the site L-R-Tiger-1994 linked to, but it's a little dodgy. I promise not to be goofy with my requests again ;)
I finally got my copy of the CD today (the German version with bonus tracks). There's a nice pic of Ian with Brian & Freddie as well as a couple paragraphs of notes about the song, including memories from Brian :)
Edit: one of the bonus tracks is an early version of the song under its original title 'Weary Anger'. It has no sax and no background vocals, so there's no Queen but it's still cool to hear the track they probably sung to :)
Legalities aside, I always encourage people to buy stuff when possible. You get excellent quality and proper artwork and notes :)
