They should apologise for including something as aurally offensive as a saxophone. And those karaoke machine 'clicks' are awful... apart from that, lovely song. |

Sorry...it's just that ive played the trumpet for over 5 years and anybody mistakening it for a sax sort of makes me laugh.....hahahahahaha, sorry love, cant help it! Steve Gregory played... And for the the record, the bit of "trumpet" on action this day is a synth-sax recording :P |

I don't understand what's wrong with a Sax on one song? While it's not the best solo, this is Freddie's best vocal on the album. The way he moves from note to note so quickly and keeps form always strikes me. Even better than "Forever". |

There are a few acts who've made saxophone tolerable. Queen weren't one of them. It's just on-the-nose, Kenny-G crap... when you have Brian May, why the *hell* have a sax solo?? |
Rick 23.09.2006 03:38 |
Who plays bagpips in Bohemian Rhapsody? People say it's Brian's Red Special, I don't believe them. I downloaded the song and it's a bagpipes! |

But to each his own. |

mike hunt 24.09.2006 03:30 |
I agree |
john bodega 24.09.2006 09:05 |
"once again..." .... ONCE AGAIN? Someone's imagining things. I'm never ignorant - I just happen to disagree with you maybe? 'What a twit' are fast becoming the most favoured words in my internal monologue, and they fit your last statement most adequately. So I don't like a bit of chincy saxophone.... the fuck?!?! |
rocks. 24.09.2006 14:48 |
K, chill people, its just a differance of opinion of wether or not you like the fucking sax, just because one person does and one person doesnt, theres not means for an arguement, drop it.... |
The Real Wizard 24.09.2006 17:41 |
I am usually the first to jump on the bandwagon for noting how we've given birth to the downloading generation - but in this case, I think you all are being a bit harsh in not revealing who the saxophonist was, because it's possible that "theCro" could have bought a compilation with the song on there (like Classic Queen), and in those liner notes, it doesn't specify who the guest musician was. It was Steve Gregory. |
Deacon Fan 24.09.2006 18:44 |
Actually, there are trumpet-like things which make sax sounds. In fact, not so long ago a friend was telling me about this trumpet in a Roger solo performance of TATDOOL and he let me listen, and I said "you idiot! that's a saxophone!" so he shows me a screen cap and indeed, it looks like a trumpet and sounds like a sax. Just thought I'd share that. |
[StArMaN] 24.09.2006 19:03 |
"Steve Gregory" was hired by John and Freddie, after his playing in "Careless Whispers", from George Michael. He is THE man. |
