Ever notice how you want to sing karaoke to a queen midi file, but the annoying organ is playing over where the vocals are supposed to be? I hate that. What do others think?

The others think that the organ can easily be turned off, if you do a little on-line research into midi players.

This is a direct download link for a freeware midi player that will let you mute tracks. Let me know if you manage, I'll help you if you don't. Have fun!
Queen Mercury - i couldn't agree more with you.
Listening to the intro then the vocal line with an intense sounding organ - i just X out of it immediately.
Why do people do it - i suppose the some people are just like that - like an engineer building a tunnel too low

Actually, it's to help people keep in tune and to let them know where in the song they are. You know, all the would-be Freddie Mercury's like....you perhaps?
You're more than free to leave it out in the midi files you create yourself. Will you start a campaign to make it a capital offence anytime soon?
Organ, oboe, your uncle's bike shed, the nature of midi is that it's only note information, the sounds are determined by your own PC's soundcard.
You can give it any sound you like.
Midi files were not specifically meant for karaoke, they help musicians study certain songs. If you want Queen karaoke, there's more than enough on CD. Don't take out your ignorance on people who make something for free for your enjoyment.

I'm sorry Rikke, but I don't use the program myself so I have no clue. Usually, you first need to open/import a midi file. The program should show you the different tracks that the midi file is made up of. Every track is one instrument (piano, guitar, drums, bass etc.), and vocals and guitars can be spread over multiple tracks. Somewhere in the track window it should say what sound is used for the track (e.g. piano, organ), and you should be able to change the sound or mute the track altogether. Let me know if it works out.
