Hello all. Was just thinking about all the live performences and was listening to some. Have you guys ever felt, when Freddie spoke to the crowd or sang to them, that he connected with you all? I know this may sound stupid, but I feel that way.
Thanks.
Queen mercury
Not stupid at all! :) I do feel that way. Even though I've never met him, gone to his concerts, or have any other direct contact with him, I feel pretty close. That's how Queen was, very close to the fans. :)
Hello QueenMercury, I was blessed to see Queen in the 70's and early 80's, when they came to Dallas and Fort Worth Texas, Freddie was very ineractive with the audience and very funny, He loved the Fan's and they him he could perform like no other but he would have fun with us all.
That's very awsome doe eyes! Am I spelling that right? Sorry. My mom said she saw Queen too, but she remembers leaving with a headache because of the guitar. She said it might have been in 77 or 78 when we will rock you and bohemian rapsody were popular. I joked with her, that Brian needed to turn the amp down a bit. XXd! But that he would never wanted to hurt her ears or head. Smile.
Back to Freddie with the crowd, I love the warm-ups he did! I call them day o's. Lol!

lol, he DID say he wanted to leave the audience deaf and wanting more! either that, or he's lost so much of his own hearing, that he doesn't notice how loud he is! lol!
Hello!
Look, I was lucky enough to get to see Queen live in México, Puebla in 1981.They gave such a magnificent concert at the Estadio Zaragoza.I was there on Saturday 17th October.Let me tell you that I still can not believe it! In fact it was the first massive concert ever in our country, the highways were packed with people who travelled long distances in order to get to see Queen live.Even when I was there , in the stadium, on my seat, I still could not belive the band were in México. It was only when the concert started that I somewhat realized of what was going on...and it was such a huge surprise to hear Freddie talking to us in Spanish! He uttered someo phrases such as :"¿Están contentos?" (= "are you happy?", etc.) Wowwww! It was such a nice detail from him , and Brian as well...At that specific moment , when the singer is talking to the audience I do agree, there is such an amazing interaction , such a connection, not only with their music, but also with their body language, their attitude...My family and I were at the back, there were no big screens on both sides of the stage as there are in every concert now , so it was really important for us fans to get to hear Freddie (& Bri) talking to us.We could only see a red spot moving onstage all the time: Freddie's red trousers (lol!)But their singing, and their music was so extraordinary, the whole show...they rocked us all!!!And well, Freddie was born to be onstage dear, he had such a superb presence & charisma!
They were so professional in every sense!!!It is one of the best rock concerts I have ever been to.Queen will always be in my heart.
Take care,
p.s. By the way...I think that as long as what you are saying is not a negative remark or it does not hurt people : Queen / Queenzoners ,it just can not be stupid.
yes QueenMercury it is pelled right, and his concerts were very loud but awesome, he wore a cowboy hat here in dallas august 1980, it was grey he looked awesome in it with his red pants and no shirt, he was a character and such a great entertainer, they put on the best concert I have ever been to, he loved interaction with the audieance.:}
