I would like to know:do these shows exist on video? 1)Tokyo 1/5/1975 2)Forth Worth 10/12/1977 3)Alexandra palace 22/12/1979 4)Brussels 24/8/1984 5)Vienna 13/5/1982 When you read the 'Queen live' book you get the impression these shows were filmed. Is this the case?A simple question for the author. |

I'm not the archivist but I hope this information helps 1)Tokyo 1/5/1975 TV broadcast: Now I'm Here, Killer Queen and In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited is on the bootleg market. 2)Forth Worth 10/12/1977 Filmed as a rehearsal for Houston the day after, was supposed to be included in a Queen live documentary. 3)Alexandra palace 22/12/1979 Look at the Save Me video and there you have it. 4)Brussels 24/8/1984 Yes it exists on the bootleg market 5)Vienna 13/5/1982 I think this is a mistake by Greg, he surely meant 12/5/1982 and you can find the end of the concert on Queen On Fire Live At The Bowl. Flash and The Hero was broadcasted on TV along with the QOFLATB footage. |

It does NOT exist on the bootleg market, all that is available is a short fragment of TYMD shot and broadcast by the Belgium TV. . On the other hand , again we have no information how much outtake footage exist from the shoot of Hammer to Fall video - done in Brussels. |

Greg writes in his book:This show was filmed for the promotional ...If you read that , you can conclude that that show was filmed , in my opinion. I watched the HTF clip very closely and there was certainly a camera high up in the back of the hall. There was also a camera behind roger. It would be stupid to bring in camera's and then only film some shots from the audience. Maybe there were camera's that recorded the actual show.I hope so, would be great on a rarities set(if that ever happens<font type="verdana">_Tatterdemalion_ wrote: 4)Brussels 24/8/1984 Yes it exists on the bootleg market QUOTE]Is it a good recording , from a professional source? That is false information. I thought the HTF shoot was done after the actual show the day after.... |

I was there on August 24, 1984, and Freddie invited the crowd to come back the next day, for HTF video shoot (couldn't go... arghhhhhhhhh). And, yes, there seems to be a clip from TYMD...I'd really love to have that one ! Has anyone seen it before available for download ? Cheers. |

Brian and Roger talk about on the DVD commentary that the director fell into the orchestra pit in front of the stage. One of them, I forget which it is, says it's the same one Frank Zappa fell into, and THAT was definitely the Rainbow. |

Sorry Tat but Alexandra Palace was not filmed. A film crew was there earlier in the day to film "live type" shots (i.e. with the stage and lights) for the Save Me video. The actual gig was not filmed. There are some "You Tube" clips saying they are Ally Pally but they are in fact Hammersmith Odeon a few days later. I was at Ally Pally and, knowing how these things are filmed - especially in 1979, I can promise you that no cameras were, or could have been (due to space restraints) there. I wish they had been. It would be the best souvenier. |

It became blatantly obvious over the last years that Greg is NOT ALLOWED to leak any information about what is in the archive and what is not. Why do you keep on asking questions then? He is not going to answer. |

There were three nights from two different tours filmed at the Rainbow. I think you are confusing the March date with the November dates which were filmed for the official video. |

Why would they film three songs at three different points of the show? If only a few songs were filmed for TV, then they would film three consecutive songs, and that would be it. 5)Vienna 13/5/1982 I think this is a mistake by Greg, he surely meant 12/5/1982 and you can find the end of the concert on Queen On Fire Live At The Bowl. I have the bootleg, and before Hammer To Fall, he mentions the video being filmed - but there is no invitation. Of course, this exact part could be cut from the bootleg, but there is no audible cut... Any help? |

Yes he did. I'm not very good at english, but as far as I can remember, he told us that may be one day, we could see ourselves in the video. I have my own bootleg of this show, on a simple tape. I have to record it on my PC, and maybe one day I will upload that bit. Cheers. |

I also heard that Freddie invited the fans back the next day. It's on my bootleg. So he's right Bob |

smilesmile wrote: Yes he did. I'm not very good at english, but as far as I can remember, he told us that may be one day, we could see ourselves in the video.Right, that part is on my bootleg. But that's not an invitation. That sounds like they were filming it during the concert. Niek, what are Freddie's exact words on your bootleg? I have three versions of the Brussels tape, and none of them have a formal invitation. |
