I was wandering around the record shop district in my home city when I came across an US CD pressing of MR. BAD GUY. It was in the second-hand bin, in mint condition and at a very, very low price. Of course, I acquired it. When I got home I compared it to the US CD pressing that I previously owned. Both are from the Columbia label, but the one I already had was manufactured by Sony while the new one was made by CBS (and pressed by Capitol, like most of early US CDs). Artwork and booklet are identical.
Considering that Sony acquired Columbia in 1988, my guess is that my previous US CD is a re-issue from that year or later. But I never heard of such a re-issue. What do you think?
I will post scans of both CDs.
Sorry Wilki, I saw the backsleeve of the US-version and saw that it carries the Columbia logo, but the text underneath says CBS and not Sony. I must have misread your post. Sorry again.
