1) Someone's error
2) It was filmed in November of 1990, album was released in February 1991 - so probably video features an early (planned) album mix
3) Something else, but Serry doesn't know about it.
Yeah I don't think it's ever really been talked about by Brian or anyone.. just one of those odd little things..
It's exactly 5 seconds extra btw and this extra bit is also present in 'The Eye' instrumental remix.
The video version also has the channels reversed.
I hope they don't cut the extra bit out when they do the 5.1 mix for GVH 3. They cut some repeated drum roll out of Invisible Man I noticed.

The footage for the Headlong videoclip was filmed at Metropolis Studios, London mainly on November 23rd 1990. At the time, INNUENDO was in its final stages of mixing (we get to see those 'flying faders' in the video, don't we?). A reference track was needed for the shots and thus a mixdown of Headlong was made (Innuendo followed on November 30th for the video to be made in December). The song was then briefly edited prior to its inclusion in the album.
Brian's original demo of the song has those 'extra' bars too and the instrumental remix for THE EYE has them as well.
Strangely enough, those bars were removed from the Headlong clip featured in the QUEEN ROCKS video compilation.
P.S: For a history of the recording of INNUENDO (in Spanish) just drop me an e-mail.
the two mixes of headlong are brilliant but not nearly as good as the finished demos one by brian which is good and the other fulll demo by freddie and the band is pure awsome and also the demo whith no guitar just bass drums and vocals pure cool

Are you shure the Freddie vocals on your "demo" aren´t the final vocals of the song?
If so, can you upload it to rapidshare?
Take care
After watching Happiness? EPK I can suppose that the video also contains the "planned and unused on the album" mix(es) of various tracks - "Dear Mr Murdoch" (released later only on Japanese promo CD, snippets from this EPK part about DMM later were used on Live at Cyberbarn VHS) or for instance during the credits you can hear a slightly little different ending of "Happiness" (not like on single version neither; sounds like the last fading out guitar sounds - just about 2-3 secs - are louder than on album mix), longer intro to "Revelation" (though it could be usual the DoRo trick like they did with many other songs - just repeat instrumental intro few times).
