I wasn't sure where to put this, so I hope I won't get slapped on the wrist for posting it here...
I've been having a problem with playing FLAC files on my PC. I'm using v1.1.2a from 2/5/2005 and halfway through some (not all) the file I get this error message:
Error while processing frame (FLAC__FILE_DECODER_SEEKABLE_STREAM_DECODER_ERROR)
At first I thought that there was a problem with my PC - not enough RAM or processing power (192 megs of RAM, Pentium @ 400 MHz), but I tested the same files on my work PC and the same thing happened. Is it possible that there's a newer, perhaps unofficial version of the FLAC decoder, or could it be (I hope not!) that the FLAC files I'm trying to play are corrupt?
Help! :(

The problem here is very simple: you're trying to play them when the torrent hasn't completely downloaded yet. Thus, parts of SOME of your FLAC files aren't there yet.
Nope, that's not it. It happens when I download not only from torrents, but from DC hubs and from the web. The last file I tried was downloaded with FlashGet.

You could try re-installing your FLAC-codec (try the one for WinAMP) and attempt to play the bunch back again. If that doesn't work, be prepared to sacrifice one blank cd; download the FLAC-plugin for Nero, and burn a disc of FLAC files. If there are still problems then, you can be sure the files themselves are the problem, which means they are corrupted.
