Let it not be said that I don't care about Queenzone, but I think that something should be done in order to curtail the growing lunacy that seems to infect most of the threads in not only the Personal section (probably the forum subjected the most to said lunacy) but all of the other sections throughout the messageboard. With that out of the way, I propose the following: 1. Adapt AOL speak: instead of well-constructed sentences full of correct grammar and spelling that would make the poster's thoughts easy to understand, I propose that we give in to evolution and start using "u" for "you", "lyk" for "like", "there" for "their" and "they're", "2" for "too", and "lol" for "I found this post to be very amusing and, therefore, I am expressing my amusement for all to see". This is only an abridged list of codes; for a further list, I will first need to be given a lobotomy. Anyone who attempts to use a formal way of speaking will be immediately banned. 2. Have conversations: instead of talking to one another via email, MSN, or the multitude of other chat programs, I propose that we all make threads in which the original poster wants to have a chat session with another poster. The two posters will only be allowed to talk in this thread, and conversation should be limited to only the most mundane minutiae of both posters' days. Anyone who attempts to budge in on these conversations will be immediately banned. 3. Stick with what works: instead of using the personal section to talk about current events in the world, or other forms of entertainment (TV, music, movies), I propose that any connection with the outside world be banished and we all contribute heavily to the "Random Thoughts" and "Queenzoners You'd Like To Meet" threads. The "Random Thoughts" thread is perfect for any fleeting spark that formulates in a poster's head that he/she feels he/she needs to tell the Internet, while the "Queenzoners You'd Like To Meet" thread is perfect to name-check any poster on the forums that a poster has ever read one post by to suddenly call his/her friend. Anyone who attempts to post thoughtful conversation will be immediately banned. 4. Obsess/lust after members of Queen: I propose that weekly threads of suggestive comments and photographs including (or are about) members of Queen should become a regular staple of the General Discussion forum. These threads should include, but are certainly not limited to: fantasies about various members "hooking up", "kissing", or "fucking"; pictures of the band in normal situations looking bored yet are somehow perceived as "hot"; lusting after Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon, or - most of all - Freddie Mercury, whom I need not remind you all has been dead for nearly fifteen years. For those of you wishing to lust after Brian, Roger, or John, please disregard the fact that they're all pushing 60 and are likely old enough to be your grandfathers. Anyone who attempts to frown upon necrophilia or geriatric sex will be immediately banned. I feel that, with this solid list of rules that I have proposed, Queenzone will become a place that we can all enjoy and call our own. Richard and Barb, please implement these rules post haste; every second these are not put into effect, Queenzone dies a little. KEEP QUEENZONE ALIVE!!! |

This wasn't necessary; we all know how the "situation" at Queen Zone is. Give it a rest. :P |

This is the "Personal Section: To Discuss Anything You Like". That's what people are doing. Discussing what they like. If you want threads that are more serious, feel free to post them. No one's stopping you. I'm sick of people complaining about the Random Thoughts Threads and Queenzoner's You'd Like To Meet. They are not bad threads. They can't hurt you. If you don't like them, make your own threads. |

Okay. First of all, if you don't like Queen zone, why are you hear Lester? Second of all, if people wish to talk about their fantasies about Freddie, brian, roger or John, they can do so. People have a right to dream. Third thing, the way people write or post things on qz is fine. If you don't wish to post anything the way they do, that's fine as well. Thanks. Have a nice day darling. |

I see u put in much effort (in typing)in this thread, but i'm afraid it won't work. These brats can't follow order, they wanna use the board as a blog/chatroom/shoutbox or whatever. Many peeps will leave this place in weeks to come because of these brainless turds. Let's enjoy while we still can. |
Lester Burnham 24.08.2006 17:40 |
If I may be serious for a moment: I suppose I should add that this thread isn't meant to be funny. For those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure, I suggest you read "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift, wherein you will learn the meaning of "satire". And for whomever said I don't like Queenzone, apparently you can't read: "Let it not be said I don't care about Queenzone" indicates that I actually DO care. |

If you don't discuss the whereabouts of John Deacon and the 80% chance of Freddie having been actually a straight family man at least once a month you'll be locked into the General Queen forum for 4 weeks. |

I think my brain would implode or my lower intestine would take drastic action by leaping up through my throat to throttle me from the inside! Lester, I love it, and for those of you with mild spelling issues, it's D.U.D.E, not D.O.O.D. |

You forgot about loooooooooong signatures, G.! "Lester: "Quickdraw McGraw, that's what they call me." iGSM: "I thought it was Dr. Incontinence?"" - doesn't work anymore. You need something like: ------------------------------------------------------------------ link <<<= that's me :))))))) lol :::::::::::))))))))0 "I know of nothing better than the Appassionata and could listen to it every day. What astonishing, superhuman music! It always makes me proud, perhaps naively so, to think that people can work such miracles! ... But I can’t listen to music very often, it affects my nerves. I want to say sweet, silly things and pat the heads of people who, living in a filthy hell, can create such beauty. One can’t pat anyone on the head nowadays, they might bite your hand off. About 300 names will be okay. I ask our admins to make Personal Message function for our brainless QZers. And everyone who'll dare to post personal crap on forum should be killed. Or banned. Or both. |
