I recently heard on the net that there is a dvd with Brian's children or daughter singing who wants to live forever, and that there is a version released on a single of his daughter Louisa. I can't find the single's title and I'd like to hear what it sounds like. Both versions would be nice to hear. Thanks a lot. Queen Mercury |

Hmmmm.... I don't know if it's his daughter, but there is an "easter egg" in the GVH II that shows two kids singing it. It's adorable. :) I've forgotten how to activeate it, though.. Sorry! |

BBMDA charity single; there is a demo around (audio only) sung by Louisa May; the released version was sung by two children (Belinda Meeson & Ian Gillet IIRC) selected through a specific audition; the video for this version is a bonus on the DVD HTH -- Gnomo |

I got the Lousia May version of the song. Really cute. But I can hear her voice is so much like Brians. If you imagine voices as a line on a paper, Brian's voice is a very thin line which vibrates up and down regulary and frequently... Louisa's voice sounds exacly like that as well. |

Thanks to all who have helped me. So the charity single is Ian and Belinda and there is a single by Louisa. There is another version I heard as well. It sounds like an older girl and it says brian's daughter in the title. The louisa version is really cute and isn't there a song with Emily May somewhere as well? |

Wow, anyone know where i could track this down? Id like to hear it some time :D And i've heard alot about the "Easter Eggs" as well, but how do you activate them? Eh, sorry, hijacked... anywho, back to the original topic... I'll keep my eyes open i suppose |

On the first disc choose "Who Wants To Live Forever" and click enter while you see the single cover and you get an alternative version with Highlander footage. On the second disc stop the DVD so that the menu disappears and choose track 13 from your remote control and hit play - you'll get the charity version sung by Belinda and Ian. Hope that helps. |

The demo was also included on the officially released 12"..... |
queen mercury 33542 21.08.2006 21:53 |
Okay. So it isn't Brian's son and daughter on the easter egg. Okay. The web site I checked on that was wrong. A friend of mine gave me the louisa may file if anyone wants to hear it. Just look in my profile and add my email to your msn. It's very cute. I also have another version a friend sent me, but I can't tell the difference between Ian or belinda. Lol. |

DO you have a blind spot where the words "officially" & "released" are concerned? |

What do you mean by do I have a blind spot to what? Or were you asking me? Sorry. Lol. |

Do you think WWTLF version by sung Brian´s daughter at the age of about 5? I thought It´s Emily. Or it exists some new version? |

Peta wrote: Do you think WWTLF version by sung Brian´s daughter at the age of about 5? I thought It´s Emily. Or it exists some new version?Sorry, I do not understand your question very well. Louisa was born in 1981, and Emily in 1987. The song was originally written for the movie Highlander in 1986, when Louisa was 5 y.o. and Emily was not born yet. The BBMDA version was recorded by Ian and Belinda and released in Summer 1989, when Louisa was 8 y.o. and Emily was 6 y.o. The demo version that appears on the 12" single is credited to Louisa, and could have been recorded any time between 1986 and 1989, when Louisa was between the ages of 5 and 8. I listened to that version several years ago (I did not know it had been officially relelased, but someone gave me an mp3): it sounds clearly like a very little girl, much younger than Ian and Belinda. My guess is that Brian was involved in the project "WWTLF sung by children" early in 1989 and initially thought to have his elder daughter Louisa sing his song; then he realised she was not good enough for a commercial release and auditioned some young singers for the final recording. But he wanted to keep Louisa's demo on the record as a "filler". Still, mine is only a guess - I only know for sure that it is Louisa and that she was between the ages of 5 and 8. HTH |

Louisa's version of that song is so cute. I can't tell the difference between Ian or Belinda in the second one. Smile. |

Haha :P Sorry, but couldn't help commenting it :b I've never heard that version!? Ö Adn btw, if you wanna watch the version with Belinda and Ian, just go search on youtube.com =D |

Hey Adam Baboolal, this files sounds to me like a reworked Belinda-Ian song. The voice tone changes (exactly where in Belinda's and Ian's song the voices alternate): I don't know who made this but he's a genius when it comes to remix songs. He played it fast then slowed it done, changed the tone. I don't know if anyone else has listened to this, but it doesn't sound like a little girl to me. |
Adam Baboolal 28.09.2006 12:01 |
It doesn't sound like a little girl??? What makes you think that? Sounds like one to me. And I don't know how you've linked this to the Ian/Belinda version which is totally different. Adam. |
queen mercury 33542 28.09.2006 13:21 |
I have recently heard the song, well a month ago, and it sounds like a little girl. Wickipedia said Louisa was only about eight when she sang it. |
