Has anyone seen this yet? link
It stars Abigail Breslin as Olive, a young girl who was chosen to compete in the Little Miss Sunshine beauty contest in California. Her family (Greg Kinnear as her father, Richard, a motivational speaker for a 9-step program that he can't seem to sell to a publishing company; Toni Collette as her mother, Sheryl; Alan Arkin as her grandfather, a drug addict and self-confessed sexaholic; Paul Dano as her brother, Dwayne, who took a vow of silence; and Steve Carrell as her suicidal, gay uncle Frank) joins her along for the ride, and, needless to say, hilarity ensues.
I saw this last night, and it literally had me - and the audience - in tears from not only laughter, but also poignancy. The ending scene where Olive finally gets to compete and show her "moves" that grandfather taught her is just hilarious. Without a doubt, this is the best movie of 2006.
Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 93%: link
I just looked on the website for the movie and it does not look like its going to play here, of course.
I think Charlotte is the nearest place that its gonna play.

Aww....come on now, Talladega Nights had me rolling the whole time..;-) I thought it was better than Anchorman. Pieter didn't, though. :-P
I'll get back on ICQ sometime, I promise. But if you wanna come down here and dish out some whoop ass, go right ahead. Don't start something you can't finish, woman!
