People..I met Damil Kalogjera, photographer who's first job was to take pictures from Queen concert in Zagreb in 1979.He is my great friend. He has about 100 pictures..he was in a first row. They are all in gray scale..He met Freddie, and commented this:"He is like every superstar..kind and simple" (he said it on Croatian).Says that concert was somenthing awsome,incredible..that is the concert from which WATC and WWRY on Live Killers were taken from.He is now filming a festival in Italy,so he will give me that pictures for in moth or two, when he returns to Zagreb..he showed me some pictures, and wow..to see freddie in Croatia..in that time..yugoslavia..the ANNOUNCMENT IS THAT I'm not gonna sell theat pictures..as soon as I get them I'll upload them to queenzone. |

There is a 3 minute footage of that concert but in achive od croatian television says that it is forbidden to give that material, and that also I can't buy it :( They say queen were vere strict about it.The minute i get them I'll scan them and upload to qz. I PROMISE! |

I PROMISE!I'm looking forward to the pictures! Queen can't be very strict about the footage if it was broadcast on TV. The TV station is definitely lying about that. The footage isn't impossible to get. You just need to say the right things, and talk to the right people... even if it means sucking up to them for a very long time. |
| The Real Wizard 14.08.2006 22:50 |
that is the concert from which WATC and WWRY on Live Killers were taken from.Maybe WATC, but definitely not WWRY. WWRY is from Frankfurt... I'm 100% sure. Or are you talking about the fast WWRY at the opening of the show? How can he be so sure, anyway? |
| tnjiric 15.08.2006 02:38 |
I'm sorry,I'm not sure about that information about live killers cd..i read it on qz on some post.. |
| tnjiric 15.08.2006 02:41 |
SIRgh..me and many others people already tried to suck up to the archive of our television but they always say they don't have that footage..they say they just have footage of queen in oakland 1984...but that they can't give it because it's foreign material..also I think that they are lying because I've never heard for that recording. |
| frank39 15.08.2006 07:33 |
there should be more people like you on QZ, tnjiric. |

tnjiric wrote: I'm sorry,I'm not sure about that information about live killers cd..i read it on qz on some post..Yeah, that post definitely isn't true. WWRY slow is from Frankfurt, but we don't know where WATC is from. But yeah, if the Zagreb footage exists, then by the sounds of it, we'll never see it. :( |

I don't know..many people in Croatia have strange english accent..so I'm not sure about that he just spoke to me on the phone...he pronanunced it like oakland but it could be Auckland..I would want to lie to you but I spoke with him on the phone so I can't be sure what is it...I don't trust him because they don't have a clue..Here is my conversation with "archive" guy: I asked if they have a footage of zagreb 1979?he said they don't have it..I sad I heard that there is a 3 minute footage..he again said that they don't have it..so I asked if they had any video material from queen...he said they had a footage from New zeland..then I didn't know what to say..and I asked from what town...That is the moment when he pronaunced something like :oakland...so I'm not sure about if it is oakland or Auckland...I think that guy mixed up something..because you're right Sir GH..Why would that footage be in Croatia??!!? (sorry for my English) |
| tnjiric 16.08.2006 12:54 |
in one sentence i wanted to say : I *wouldn't want to lie... |
| tnjiric 16.08.2006 12:58 |
then...when I called again the lady said that there is a 3 minute footage in archive...but couldn't give it to me because it's officiall..I think that they are lying...well all I know that Damil will send me all pictures imidiately after he comes to Zagreb and I'll post them to QZ...all of them. |

I'm looking forward to seeing them. There's no point in worrying about the footage. But have you asked them if you could just come and view the footage? |
| tnjiric 16.08.2006 13:47 |
sorry,I didn't ask them that, because Zagreb is in the north and I live in Dubrovnik, that is on very south of Croatia... :(( |

If i´m correct they are ordered by dates, so they are easy to find. For example when you see old footage on the news they have to go search somewhere. If you think about it, how could they possible know about the 3 minute video? On the other hand, i don´t see any reason for them to be lying. They could easily guive you the right answers and explain to you that they can´t guive it to you. Take care |
