What if Freddie was not gay??
| deleted user 02.08.2006 14:31 |
How do you think Freddie would have lived his life if he was straight? My opinion : 1. He would have married Mary Austin 2. He would have two beautiful children 3. HE WOULD BE STILL WITH US Feel free to add things in the list :P |

Well, I had this dream... And Freddie and Mary were together, and they went to a "Craft-Fair", and they didn't have enough money to eat, let alone buy anything. Freddie only had $10 to his name. I offered to help pay for their food. I'm so nice. OH - and all sodas would have alcohol in them and be called "kings" with a little "k" - a really strong one would be called "illegalimmigraking". Yep. That's exactly what would have happened. |

I would agree with bismillah. If Freddie wasn't gay, then he would've married Mary Austin and they would've had a couple of kids. However, Freddie lived his life the way he wanted to live, so there's no sense in going back in time to changing anything about Freddie 'cause we can't go back. |

Asian women CANNOT drive automobiles worth a damn. 2. Whites CANNOT dance worth a shit. and... 3. Homosexuals constistently make the very best musicians in the world. How did you come up with 2 children? Why not 1, 4 or even 8? Your distasteful post smells covered with the stench of christianity. |

I can't believe this thread is still around... Here's how I look at it - "being gay" is not something you can just switch on and off all magic-like. Same with many personality traits. If "Freddie wasn't gay", I believe you would have to change vast amount of life experience starting from a very young age. Every moment after that "change" would be fair game. For instance, he might never know Mary Austin, he might go to jail, might get squashed flat by a car. How ever far you get from that change, the more likely the same point in time will be vastly different. If you look at psychology in some other way, that's your business. But that's my opinion, based on various theories that I heard in class or read about, back when I thought reading the encyclopaedia was a great way to pass time. |

I dunno if the flamboyance thing is necessarily tied to being gay or straight. I mean, Peter Gabriel was and is pretty flamboyant onstage (especially when he was in Genesis), but he's been married a couple times, dated Rosanna Arquette (allegedly, In Your Eyes was written for her) and has a couple kids. For the record, since everyone else is outting themselves, I'll go on record, and say I'm bi. And given the chance to go back in time, to, say, 1974, I'd definitely...well, maybe I shouldn't go there. ;-) |

I always thought Freddie was bisexual because of being with Mary Austin and I'm sure he was with other women before. I read in a book that he enjoyed being with women and thathe enjoyed their company. It wasn't all for sex or anything. Anyway, if he didn't have his gay tendonsies, he would be married to Mary, have some children and a few beautiful cats and be happy. The thing you got to remember is, freddie lived his life the way he wanted to. Queen Mercury |
