Okay. It's obviously a fan production, but worth a listen before we get the real thing (if they ever pull their fingers out and get back to 5.1 mixes)
It took me 15 hours to download.
For those of you who have heard the "Queen II uncovered" mixes, this does something similar for the rear speakers (but not as good!).
enjoy! link
Yeah.. it's a shame other sites *cough* don't recognize the same loophole.
I can just see the court case now. Some kind soul records his obscure long out of print one-country only vinyl release of a Queen song to mp3, uploads it to Rapidshare and Richard Orchard goes to prison.. yep..
This is pretty shite anyway, but thanks for the link.
The lead vocals are totally buried, the rears are WAY too loud. Has a harsh, trebley sound.. not worth the trouble. Professional upmixes are pointless enough, but fan-made ones... well..
You'll get a better experience just running your regular copy through Pro Logic.
I agree - the rear speakers are way too loud - but the easy solution is to turn them down on your amp.
As for posting a link to "an illegal site".
Well, I'm sorry - but everyone posts links to youtube. I posted a link to the torrent itself - not the site!
If the moderators tell me to remove the link - I'll remove it, though please be aware that i don't live on the internet and it may be up to 18 hours before the link is removed.

You need to burn the files(? or is it an ISO. Im not too sure, havent downloaded this paticular dts cd). And play it in your digital surround sound system. it will only work if you have equipment which can play 5.1 channels. if you do not, you will either hear silence or static. Hope this helps a bit
the torrent downloads 4 files - one of which is a cue file for roxio (well, i use roxio and it opens up in that), so all you have to do is stick your CD in and let it burn.
FRANK39 - It is worth downloading and listening to you know!
If I thought it was as bad as Mikahl makes out, I wouldn't have posted it. BUT if you do NOT have any control over the volume for your rear speakers, you may wish to leave it as the rears ARE way too loud.
burn the WAV file.
Make sure you've got a DVD player that plays DTS discs and an amp that decodes DTS otherwise you won't hear anything. It sounds obvious, but it's best to make sure...

Tough one. I'd say it was official.
The process I use works by keeping the front speakers as the usual stereo signal. The only changes I make are to the middle and rear speakers.
That's why I've never shared my surround mixes of all the Queen albums here and never will.
Sharing the rear speaker vocal cuts though (and it works well on only about 50% of the tracks) should be alright. Infact they were actually shared quite a while ago by 'Freddie Lives'in the fan mixes forum, though the links are now dead.
ok. don't know how many people wil see this reply but i need help getting sound. ok so i burned all 17 wav files to a dvd and put it into the dvd player which is dts certified and all i got was disc error. i beleived i've tried this before but with a cd and all i got was static noise. i have a yamaha amp (dts, dolby digital) and a dvd player with dts. do i have to convert the wav files to something?
