Hi, I haven't really read the Brian biography and was wondering what really happened to cause Brian's breakdown? Was it Freddie's illness? His divorce? |
deleted user 23.07.2006 15:09 |
Oh, yes, I want to know about all the most horrible and harrowing moments in all the band members lives. Did they feel like they had enough love in their childhoods ? Did their parents hug them ?! |

Well, the fact that Brian has an interview from the eve of the WWRY show in 2002, talking about it, I think that makes the whole question more legit than asking more private/intimate details. Don't be so judgemental because people are interested in the individual's struggles in life. That's not exactly much considering it's information Brian has talked about freely. Peace, Adam. |

It was definitely... 1. he left his wife and had an affair with A.D...The whole "movement" was hard on him. 2. His father died 3. Freddie died 4. Queen died. From what i read, he was even having suicidal thoughts...but he said that Anita saved him... |

Ever heard of manic depression? There you have it. And indeed not-so-nice experiences like a divorce and the death of some people can have an uncomprehendable influence on someone that already suffers manic depression. |

Thanks to all the post-ers who actually answered the question and led me to some interesting articles. :*) I am always left wondering why people post just to complain that they don't like the topic . . . blah blah blah. If they don't like the topic, don't read it, don't answer it. It's that simple. |

I should have worded my above comment better, sorry, it's a weird line for me. What I mean is that while im listening to the songs, I dont think "oh this must be because this happened and thats deffinitly what the song is about" accept perhaps the acception of maybe mother love I think about Freddie's death but my mind doesnt say this is deffinitly what the song is about, and the songs are why I love them. I know I might not be making sense, but..well, thats just what I feel right now, sorry.WhatMustHeThink wrote: Adam Baboola, I just meant all these questions dont seem relevent to why we all love them so much...I'd have to disagree completely. Cool dude. Now we understand better. Brenksi's comment however is just weird. Now, in general, it doesn't matter who you are or what's happened to you. What IS important is that it happened to YOU and it affected you in such and such a way. That's what you worry about and that's what matters the most. But to pass on a comment about how you have no sympathy for those ("suicidal closeted, spoilt people") kind of people in those situations is weird. I just don't understand that kind of attitude. Peace, Adam. |

Jjeroen 25.07.2006 13:24 |
I understand where you're coming from, Brenski! Of course disappointment, loss, sadness and depression has nothing to do with age, sex, upbringing or envirement. Everybody deals with it in their own way and indeed 'most' people deal with the things in life without immediately gettting suicidal. But I specifically was talking about MANIC depression... That's realy a different 'illness' that does weird things to a person. People that suffer from it may have to live with much longer and/or deeper depressions (and can get suicidal sometimes even sooner) after something 'major' happens in their lives. It's a major crack in the brain. The way their mind and body react to such circumstances can not be easily understood by people that do NOT suffer from it. Lots of times even the people that suffer from it themselves can not comprehend what's happening to them and why. Especiall as people that suffer from it, get depressed even WITHOUT a specific cause. Cheers! |
