I just downloaded this concert and i think they soud very good. Freddies voice is amazing and the band are very tight. The only problem is that Johns bass wasnt recorded very well and it is very quiet, which is a shame becuase his playing in this concert is fantastic if u listen for it, particularly in the white queen solo. The backing vocals werent recored well either. But apart from some bootleg problems they sound brillaint. what you people think of it.
Way too overrated concert. Nothing special really. Boring setlist. A great version of Brighton Rock though, maybe one of their best versions ever. And indeed, the backing vocals are too low in the mix and John is indeed barely hearable. No, not my favourite concert. I rather listen to Dundee or Manchester 1975 for example.
People like this concert because of its quality. The show itself isn't really THAT great. But for Queenfans a must to have.
Agree with Rick, and I have to say that I think Freddies vocals are really bad in this, its something I would never play to a friend or non Queen fan.
Whenever I listen to this I just sit cringing at how far and how often Freddie goes way off key.
The reason why Freddie's vocals werent his usual high standard is because both he and Brian were actually suffering from really heavy head colds that night.
That said I actually do like this gig as it was the first one of theirs that I saw on TV
