Greetings folks. I've been running a small community for fan remixes on and off for nearly 10 years, and it's great that there's a whole forum section devoted to it here. Kudos!
Sounds we're going to get a New Freddie Rehash^H^H^H^H^H^HRelease in a few months, and it just might include "New York At Last."
Well I'd like to start an unofficial project, and we can see who's come up with the better product by early September.
So if you have a Freddie Mercury Remix, or have been thinking about making one, either post a link here, or email me via my profile, with the subject:
WTFIMHO
Thanks! I'll try to follow up on this as it progresses, and in early september maybe a best-of Podcast will happen...
Yeah, Queen versions of Freddie songs are welcome -- I'm really not out to exclude anything, I just want it to be a celebration from a fan's perspective. If you choose to celebrate his birthday by remixing the 1812 Overture, great :)

Peace,
Adam.
It was only ever 160, Adam, because the source material, of the 1986 vocal and intrumental versions, was sent to me at the lower bitrate. I probably saved it at the default bitrate setting in Audition, which would have been 256, but it was only ever 160 quality.

Out of curiosity, what do you think is my best mix, Adam? I would be interested to see if it's one of the ones which took the most work. I have to admit, IWBTLY is also one of my own favourites.

Hmm... I'll need to check the Fickle archives! I'll get back to you on that one.
Peace,
Adam.
I was born to love you's remix was really brillant!!
I'm going to have a copy of it in my car, whenever I want to drive flat out (kiddin' :-P)
In my defence, instead, reminded me more an 'extended version' than a remix.
I admit it, the Freddie M. album version remains my favourite.
By the way... has anyone of you thought about remixes of demos?
I mean... "I guess we're falling out" or "my secret fantasy" could become something interesting... what do you think?
