John had died of AIDS, do u think fred, bri and rog whould have continued making music?
Would they tour with some other bass player?
"dont take this to personally"

I´m a grandma, and I have bals.. I´m both :S
Anyways, No.. It wont seem right with a different look on the stage! When it comes to tha, everyone is equally unlooseable.. I think :S
Hmmmm. That's a very interesting question! What you're really asking is "How important were the other members?" I'm not sure what they would have done had it been John, Roger, or Brian that had passed ... not exclusively to AIDS, mind you.
I think Queen would have come to an end but they'd work on solo albums or create a new band.

no...without a member, John, Queen would be over, because that certain element that John brings would be destroyed. I dont think so. John is very important to the band
Are you kidding me? Hell yes they would continue. I think they might have taken a couple year hiatus, but picked up another bass player, say a Danny Miranda, or an experienced classic rock bass guy and picked up where they left off. Sure, it wouldn't be the same, but John is probably the most replacable guy in the band and the most outspoken. Don't get me wrong, I really like John and think he is one of the greatest bassists of all time, but he isn't what made Queen like Freddie and Brian. When I think Queen, I think Freddie Mercury and Brian May...Roger brings an element to them too...he has his own distinct style, but John, like most bassists could be replaced.

Oh for fuck's sake... I thought this was the "What if you found Freddie on your door-step, half-naked, and dripping in frosting" thread.

I must agree with you...bassists could be replaced, the element of Queen would always be there with the three left over. But for some reason, John would be missed. I love his songwriting!

Oh believe me, it's been like this for ages...
HAHA!!!! What if the frosting guy was Roger? mmmmmm
I think Queen would have continued without John. As great a bass player that John is, he was so low key that sometimes you forgot he was there. Don't get me wrong, I love all the members of Queen, but you have to admit, Freddie would be the hardest one to replace.
