You are about a year and a half behind the times.
This video is just a bit of fun that neither Brian or Roger seemed to have minded at the time it came out. But no doubt this thread will bring up the same tired old trite that was getting banded about when it was first discussed on here all that time ago.
Meanwhile you can play this game at their site - its called Jetset Freddie link
Oh Jeeze not this thing again! :P Hopefully no one cares about it anymore.
My opinion of this remains the same. It's not offensive - it just shows the video director knows nothing about Freddie Mercury (he liked CATS, I didn't know he had a thing for poodles - and also, wasn't he cremated??)
Furthermore... Radio Ga-Ga, despite it's awful synth sounds, has a really beautiful (if simplistic) melody when you get down to it. This guy shits all over the song in buckets, it's terrible to listen to.
He should've covered I Want To Break Free, if we're looking at Works songs.
Lighten up!! It's a bit of fun and better than other covers we could mention.............Why does it seem to be OK and accepted for Queen to do live covers of songs but not OK for bands to cover Queen?? It's called homage, respect, influence (OK with maybe a little money making and exposure thrown in haha)
Radio Ga Ga well wish freddie came back when i saw it i thought gosh he back but shame it wasnt the real him and like others says it a tribute and people have different ways some cool some silly but end of day it still Queen music and mind you member of the band was cross about the Grave busniess Peace
Granted its not very good, mysically or video-wise, but I'm pretty sure they were aiming at making a crappy cheesy video.
I dont think they were trying to be "offensive" just silly, cheesy and stupid"
I think it was funny. I believe someone mentioned that the poodles were a reference to Brian's hair or something like that. No need to get mad. It was almost two years ago and it was fun to see. I don't understand how some people take more offense at this mock ups than the band themselves. At least they spelled "Bulsara" right in the video, hehe :).

LOL! That was entertaining, but the least they could do is spell his name right... :P
I think it's one of the funniest things I've seen. Not only can the singer not sing at all (granted Freddie's voice in the studio was much higher and more layered than when he was singing live and he could hit notes he couldn't hit live), but Radio Ga Ga is not meant to cross over into hard rock territory. Also, I've never seen Freddie dance like that. It was funny seeing this guy trying to show how Freddie was openly bisexual, but at the same time made an ass of himself, plainly and simply. My true opinion is it may be an affectionate tribute or a lousy parody, but it's still worth a hearty laugh.
Hahahaaha. This is a great video. Personally, I think it is much better than the original version. The Works album is really shit so its good to see someone is able to create a masterpiece from a piece of poo
