I have come across a problem while trying to burn a dvd from a torrent. For some reason, there was no Auido_TS folder, only the Video_ts one, so as a result, the dvd came out with no audio. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know what to do?
also, i forgot to mention, when the torrent is done, all i do is just burn it to the dvd, directly from the video_ts folder, but the problem is there is no Audio_ts folder. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong, or whether i have to convert something..or...i dunno because this is my first one, and i know there are people much more experienced at this than me...i would really appreciate some advice...thanks in advance..

oooh right, so what you are saying is that the audio is already in all of the files, most of the time? right? So if a dvd doesnt contain audio then the audio isnt encoded in the torrent...ok, because the same thing has been happening to me...So, if it contains no audio, there is no way to fix that, am i right?
thanks a lot pcgenious!

I dunno...maybe the person sharing the torrent does not have audio encoded in their files. The only thing that is left to do is just watch the video without the sound. haha...well have fun!
cheers
I HAVE A SOLUTION!
I've put a dvd in my dvd-rom drive and opened it in My Computer. When i go into the folders, there are:
"video_ts" (without "_")
"audio_ts" (without "_")
when i open "audio_ts" it is empty. maybe that would help if you made that folder.
Just an idea: good luck
Thank you! It worked! :D
How strange is that? I just copied all the files into both folders: audio_ts and video_ts. All of them. And it worked! :)
Oh, well I only hope not to come to the same problem with files that are big enough not to fit in duplicity in a DVD :)

That's exactly what I did, and then I burned it to a DVD that played well in both my DVD players. :)

AFAIK, even when the audio track is encoded into the video files, the DVD player needs that a folder named AUDIO_TS exists (although empty), and probably that the disc is finalised (single session).
HTH
some dvd players do not recognise discs that do not have an AUDIO_TS folder. whenever i download a disc, i always add an empty AUDIO_TS folder before burning in toast & i haven't had any problems this way.

I had already done that, but it didn't work. That was why I added the whole content of the video_ts to the audio_ts folder. Go figure! :)
