Probably because a band as daring and as flamboyant as them is intimidating to the empty headed little teeny boppers that they feel the need to laugh at them and call them "gay or sumthing LOLLLLZZZZ" I can't wait till 30 years from now when people will be ripping on the talentless "emo" bands with whiny voices and bad haircuts that they call their musical idols. :) |

My dad and my brother was going to a car show this past weekend, and my dad wanted to listen to some CD's from my collection. I told him please be sure to take my Queen's greatest hits CD, cause its some good driving music, lol...my brother said no, we wont listen to any gay queer bands in dad's car!!! I keep trying to tell them that the band as a whole wasnt gay...but my brother says that just because they were named Queen, that makes them gay!!! My advice to you freme: ignore ignorant folks!!!! |

My gosh, people are so ignorant of bands like Queen these days. They just don't understand the word "tolerance" and "acceptance" that they have to put any Queen fan down; however, I completely agree with your advice, Jellybean. I'll remember that in the future to come. |

D'you wanna know what really sucks??? when I was still at my old school (about a month ago) my best classmate started to saythat Freddie deserved to die from aids.. I started chasing her around the school, but gave up because she runs a lot faster than me.. But she knew that if I got my hands on her, she would be dead :s.. Also I used to hang around with these computernerds, who always claimed that Queen was just the worst gayband ever, though they really did´nt mind their music. Of course I used to hit or kick them very hard, and ther was even one of them who got so scared with me that I just had to look at him before he stardet to back of (I, for some reason, happened to be madly in love with that guy..:s) Did that make any sense at all????^ ^^ |

I hate people who have it in for Queen. If you ask me, they're hypocrites! They say things like "Queen are crap! They're gay and their singer died of AIDS!" ...Then they go listen to 50 Cent!!!! Well, whats worse? Sure, they can insult Queen and put them down but at the end of the day they're listening to people who are FAR worse! For example, drug addicts, alcoholics, gun crime, gambling, sleeping with loads of women, etc! In total contrast, Freddie was gay... but that was just who he was! He got AIDS but he was very strong and coped with it for as long as he could! Loads of people are gay nowadays and these people can't accept that BUT they CAN accept low lifes like particular rappers that they look up to as "role models"! Who would you prefer? A talented, wonderful man who may have made mistakes in his life (like WE ALL do) and changed music forever... good question that we all come accross. People are just afraid that this kind of music will take over the general musical interest. While they are listening to their "TRASH" rap, pop etc. music, we are all listening to Queen, a GORGEOUS, unique, amazing and BEST BAND IN THE WORLD(well, in my opinion it is). As said before, people are really igorant and try to listen what is listened all over the world today, instead of digging deeper into the other genres. It really is unfair. For example, the people i hang around with CAN'T STAND Queen, it annoys them so much. The best thing to do, as i do, is just ignore the remarks. also by the way (has anyone noticed that ALL of Queen's songs are sooooo GOOD? I mean, Out of all of their songs, I have not come accross anything bad NEVER!!!) they are just a super amazing band, and anyone who makes bad remarks doesnt know good music and is very very ignorant. :-) whoah!
