one year since live 8, gone quick!
alot of documentarys on about it, anyone manage to record any which they can upload as a fancy DVD?
i made a dvd cover for one of the programes, which was about an hour long i think, called "the difference a day can make", this cover can be used for any really i suppose but at the mo that one cos its very similar to the "live aid 20 yrs ago today" dvd, anywhoo here it is, discuss anything about live 8 myah! link
I watched this the whole day when it was on and i also signed the two online petitions.
I really hope Sir Geldof will keep these events coming because it really brings awarness to a pretty out of touch (overall anyways) generation. (which sadly i am apart of, but im a bit more aware than most i suppose)
Geldof is one of the men i revere the most for his works.
If the world had more aware people like him, then maybe we wouldnt be in such the mess we are now...
Is this the world we created? I'm afraid it is...
haha!
you would think from the publicity it got and the amount of stuff thats been going on about it that a huge event happened wouldnt ya! lol
best?
Macca and U2-Sgt Peppers Lonly heart club band
worst?-COLDPLAY! hate them! "wot we are gonna do now is gonna make the g8 look so uncool"
fuk off chris martin!
Duran Duran in rome were pretty good i think
bon jovi in Philly was great!
Keith urban was good!
Bob Geldof has improved his singing skills! he sucked at live aid, did well at live 8
madonna was good etc etc
BEST IN LONDON: Pink Floyd
BEST IN PHILLY: Bon Jovi
BEST IN PARIS: Muse
BEST IN BERLIN: Green Day
Coldplay, Mariah Carey, Madonna and Robbie Williams sucked.

im after that but i cant find it :(
It wasnt so much a documentary, more a brief highlights of the day show. It showed about a minute of most of the acts that were on that day. Not worth checking out at all imho. If you are intent in looking for this, then I suggest you try down your nearest store and buying the boxed set dvds. It is for charity after all.....
iv got the DVD boxset, iv also got Live Aid DVD boxset, the sepcial 20yrs after DVD, i thought this would be good since its similar to the Live Aid 20yrs after DVD, means theres a live aid dvd and live 8 dvd

Live 8 sucked i prefer Live Aid their was better acts at Live Aid than Live 8
A lot of people seemed to critisize velvet revolver that day, i thought they were alright, ok not as good as they could be but even so. I think pink floyd were amazing that night! so was def leppard in philly!
In as much as I only ever watch Queen from ol' Live Aid, I only really watch the Pink Floyd portion of Live 8. They were really the best and most interesting thing that day.
